Not seeing notability here. Most coverage is him being quoted as STOAN spokesman or columns he wrote himself. Notwithstanding that the page was accepted through the AFC process, I don't think this subject is notable. None of the sources in the article seem to provide any significant coverage of her as a person; she is often quoted in her official capacity as a representative of NERD and other organisations. I haven't found anything else of use for meeting WP:GNG; there's this interview, but again that's really about the government policy rather than about her. Nothing suggesting any of the WP:ANYBIO criteria are met. Chocmilk03 (talk) 08:45, 29 September 2026 (UTC)reply

Keep. I understand the concern that several sources quote Withanage in her official capacity. However, I think there is enough independent coverage to warrant considering WP:GNG. In particular, the 20 June 2017 Daily Mirror article gives substantial coverage to her analysis and recommendations concerning LNG pricing, infrastructure costs and Sri Lanka's long-term electricity-generation plan, rather than merely mentioning her. There is also an extended 2019 Echelon interview, as well as independent coverage of her petroleum-sector work in The Island, Daily Mirror and Tamil Guardian over multiple years.
I acknowledge that many of these reports focus on the policies and projects she was involved in rather than providing a conventional biographical profile, but I believe the cumulative independent coverage is substantial enough for the subject to meet GNG. @SlapstickHumor360!:, do you have an actual explanation of why you actually voted for redirect? You used that same sentence for Maggiano, DiGirolamo & Lizzi. Your vote is not really an answer, as having an "unbalanced ratio of words and citations" is not really an argument of why the article should be redirected. Immigrant entrepreneurship (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) – (View AfD | edits since nomination)
(Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs) · FENS · JSTOR · TWL)

Potentially LLM written article that's mostly just an essay about a vague and broad topic instead of an article about a well established concept. "Immigrant entrepreneurship" can be anything. Cubnorth (talk) 23:33, 20 September 2026 (UTC)reply

  • Keep with reduction. Immigrant entrepreneurship is a widely accepted term and the subject of a substantial body of academic research. I rewrote the article in my sandbox, simplifying the prose and reducing its length by more than 50%, then replaced the live article. I also added a definition section to help clarify the concept. I believe the revised version addresses the concerns raised and is much more conducive to other editors expanding, restructuring, or rewriting the article as needed. The subject is specifically studied and tracked by organisations including the OECD, which includes a dedicated section of its International Migration Outlook 2 to the subject, and is the focus of a specific chapter in Elsevier's Handbook of the Economics of International Migration, among many other major academic publications. This is precisely the type of significant subject that Wikipedia should include. Its prominence can be quickly verified through searches of Google and JSTOR.
Wikipedia contains many obscure subjects that may legitimately warrant articles, but this is an established and important area of study that deserves inclusion because of it encompases such a broad range. The sources I have provided are all strong academic publications devoted again specifically to the subject. Even the source provided by ladmc, the German Historical Institute's Immigrant Entrepreneurship project covering immigrant entrepreneurship in American history broadly, reinforces the importance and established use of the term.
That said, although I am strongly opposed to LLM generated content, I recognise that my writing style may resonate with this issue. My writing also tends toward an essay style, which is something I have done professionally since long before AI existed and is a legitimate complaint by other editors. I am trying to work this out of my writing in general. I believe this may be partly because I develop highly polished articles. I made nearly 300 edits on Wikipedia developing this article, (not what you find in LLM generated content) and probably an equal amount of the work was done outside Wikipedia because I find it considerably easier to structure, move material around that way.
My proposed solution is the normal one for a notable subject where the article faces such concerns, that is to substantially reduce it. Over the next few days, during this discussion, I intend to shorten the prose considerably, probably by about half, while retaining as much of the existing structure and sourcing as possible.
One problem on Wikipedia is that articles can grow through incremental additions until they become sprawling and unorganised. I would like to leave this article with well developed structure but limited prose that makes it conducive to future contributions by other editors, while retaining the substantial academic sourcing that provides a foundation for future expansion. This is an approach I plan on taking in all of my future writing, limited prose with strong structure.
I appreciate the work done by all editors, including those critcal of my work JondeJon1 (talk) 13:05, 22 September 2026 (UTC)reply
I want to elaborate a little more as the nominator. There is no one unique thing that ties the information in this article together except for 'immigrants can be entrepreneurs'. This means that in my opinion, that's all the article is really saying. If the observations that followed were conclusive and uniform, then I'd understand a bit more, but as it stands almost all of them boils down to 'it varies', which is obvious. I respect that this is an area of interest for you, but as it stands I believe this topic is far too broad to be a useful article. Cubnorth (talk) 13:24, 22 September 2026 (UTC)reply
I understand the concern that the subject is broad, but I think that breadth is also what makes it valuable as an encyclopedia topic. Wikipedia benefits when it covers important central concepts, not just narrowly defined subjects. The study of immigrant entrepreneurship has considerable importance within sociology and social economics, which is why there is such substantial academic literature devoted to it.
The difficulty for me has been presenting the body of material without turning the article into an essay or adding my own synthesis. I could write a more cohesive argument connecting the research, but that would not be appropriate for Wikipedia. The article needs to be built from what the sources actually say, which can make it difficult to present the material cohesively.
At the same time, I am addressing the perception of LLM-assisted writing in the typical manner, by substantially reducing the prose and making the article more direct and source-focused. This often works against your concern, since reducing the prose can also make it harder to explain the connections among the research. I will post a rewritten version in the next few hours.
I understand where you are coming from, but I think this is a case where creative editing and restructuring can solve the problems. It would be a shame to lose an important area of study that belongs in an encyclopedia when the underlying subject and sourcing are very strong.JondeJon1 (talk) 08:05, 24 September 2026 (UTC)reply

I propose a limited merge of sourced encyclopedic content to Baganda#Clan_structure because, while an encyclopedic article can probably be written on this topic, this article is a massive pile of unsourced original research and thus fails the WP:NOT test of WP:GNG. List of Trivial Pursuit editions (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) – (View AfD | edits since nomination)
(Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs) · FENS · JSTOR · TWL)

I propose redirecting to Trivial Pursuit because it is seemingly an indiscriminate list. (Oinkers42) (talk) 00:18, 21 September 2026 (UTC)reply

  • Comment: Irrespective of the final decision, that list needs to be wholly reformatted if it is retained. It currently combines the worst features of tables with the worst features of definition lists into one terribly-formatted and unsortable sequence of entries. I suggest a table with eight columns (edition name, release year, and the six coloured ovals with a matching colour name in text for the categories). Also remove text such as "very hard to find", which is irrelevant here. Mindmatrix 15:43, 21 September 2026 (UTC)reply
  • Comment: ProQuest returns nearly 60,000 hits for the term "Trivial Pursuit" (in quotation marks), so there should be sufficient sources to potentially flesh out this list or convert it into its own article (say, Editions of Trivial Pursuit), as merging wholesale into the parent would likely overwhelm that article. Mindmatrix 15:43, 21 September 2026 (UTC)reply
Comment If merged into the Editions section of Trivial Pursuit, the updated table should be collapsible so it won't overwhelm the article. And then the Trivial Pursuit Millennium Edition page should probably be considered for deletion, since it's already covered in this list. SupermarketCake (talk) 23:12, 23 September 2026 (UTC)reply
MOS:COLLAPSE is a tad wishy-washy, but makes clear that we should not collapse article content. So, if this was added to Trivial Pursuit, it would stand strong in its uncollapsed glory. Given that would be... awkward, it recommends making a separate article (well... what do we have here). This list isn't indiscriminate in anyway, it has clear criteria (be an edition of Trivial Pursuit). It meets NLIST as useful, and has also been treated as a class by secondary sources . (The Gamer is WP:VALNET, whose sources can't normally be used to provide notability, but I have no clue how that interacts with NLIST, and The Gamer is generally regarded as more reliable than other VALNET publications.) • Keep and cleanup - Formatting is hellish, but the list does have clear criteria, is useful and has available support by secondary sources so can't see rationale to get rid of it entirely. Merging is not a suitable alternative as it would overwhelm target article.

Comment - Article is now in a far cleaner state than it was when it was originally proposed and that Mindmatrix, and SupermarketCake commented on and 1brianm7 voted keep on. Version originally proposed for redirection. Still believe that this article should be kept, but current format does a much better job of showing the information itself so it is probably easier to make a judgement as to whether the article is worthwhile.
Regardless of result of this proposal, at the risk of encountering the wrath of WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS, I suggest that the six separate pages for Monopoly editions are proposed for same fate (either cleanup, or redirection). BleachPuffin (talk) 15:34, 6 October 2026 (UTC)reply

Delete Sources in article fail WP:NCORP. There was actually a decent amount of coverage on this subject, but I really struggled to find sources that were both independent and significant.
Source analysis of references in article for WP:SIRS:
  1. Passports and cocktails: significant coverage, but it's a WP:BLOG, so I'm not sure on reliability.
  2. The Capital Times: Should be independent and reliable, but I'm not convinced on significant coverage. Most of the article talks about the award, but very little actually about the brewery.
  3. Isthmus: Trivial coverage, only two brief mentions of Capital Brewery.
  4. Pioneer Press: I'm not sure on the independence of this specific article since it features a lot of quotes from the brewery's president, but the Anheuser-Busch lawsuit was (relatively) widely covered. For example, this is a better article from the same source. Also not sure on the significance, but I could see it squeaking by.
  5. Baltimore Sun: Independent and reliable, but trivial coverage of Capital.
  6. Isthmus2: Not significant coverage; it's about the process of a beer that was made partly by Capital, but very little on the brewery itself.
  7. US Open Beer: Primary source, also covers the same thing as the capital times article.
Only reference I could find that I thought might be applicable was this one (I accessed through open athens), which covers a dismissed 2014 lawsuit from minority shareholders of the brewery. However, it doesn't really discuss the brewery itself, and even if it did count, I'm not convinced this subject passes the stricter notability guideline for companies. WP:BLPREQUESTDELETE received through VRT, citing real-life harm from identity theft. Relatively low-profile, with the only sources cited being championship results rather than secondary sources expected for GNG. A WP:BEFORE only brings out brief mentions in local newspapers, as well as this article which I am not able to assess due to it being paywalled. I propose merging to Hurricane Georges because there was only one significant tornado, and no fatalities as a result of the tornadoes. There were a few dozen injuries, but given Georges killed over 600 people total, I feel giving the tornado outbreak, which killed zero, its own dedicated article is WP:UNDUE given context. Also, merging the article into the main article's impacts section would likely improve the main article, as for such a significant hurricane, the impacts section is rather lacking, in large part due to the over abundance of sub-articles. IMO there wouldn't even be a need to list out all the tornadoes in the main article, just a sentence each for all the tornadoes that caused injuries. The addition of a notability tag to this article was rejected. The previous deletion discussion rested upon stating that any television show that aired was presumed notable, which certainly isn't the case now (if it ever was). The sources cited in the original discussion were admitted to be poor at best; virtually the entire "keep" rested on that idea that aired television was definitely notable. I tried searching myself but only came up with the same sources already pointed out in that previous deletion discussion. AaronNealLucas (talk) 02:23, 6 October 2026 (UTC)reply

Non-notable actress; her sole major role appears to have been in Cinderella's Curse and thus fails WP:NACTOR. No evidence of passing WP:GNG either. Dclemens1971 (talk) 19:05, 28 September 2026 (UTC)reply

Weak keep - NACTOR through Cinderella in Cinderella's Curse and Olive Oyl in Popeye's Revenge - the second one is slightly borderline, but I'd say it's a major enough role as a main antagonist. Jishara (please ping upon response) (talk) 22:38, 28 September 2026 (UTC)reply
Olive Oyl appears to be a minor role in that movie, making her fall short of NACTOR. Dclemens1971 (talk) 22:55, 28 September 2026 (UTC)reply
At least from reviews like this one she seems to be major, and the plot synopsis also seems to depict her as the second main antag - not as much screentime as Popeye but I do still think that's enough. Jishara (please ping upon response) (talk) 21:48, 29 September 2026 (UTC)reply

Fails WP:GNG and WP:NSCHOOL Filmssssssssssss (talk) 01:33, 21 September 2026 (UTC)reply

@Dz5t 8O12: The standard of SIGCOV depends on how much commentary each source makes about the subject. From WP:SIGCOV: ""Significant coverage" addresses the topic directly and in detail, so that no original research is needed to extract the content. Significant coverage is more than a trivial mention, but it does not need to be the main topic of the source material." So if the source only has a single sentence about the school, that is not SIGCOV. If it has two paragraphs about the school, that is SIGCOV.
So far two of the three sources have SIGCOV. If The Asian Age is an RS, I will make a keep vote.
You can look for coverage in French newspapers and magazines, including those about French expatriates, for additional coverage.

Article about a Linux distribution. I can find very little information about this software and it does not appear to meet WP:GNG or WP:NPRODUCT based on the sources in the article or my wider searches. In terms of the article's sources: is a page listing various softwares including this one; does not seem to be independent and is a blog linking a social media post. • Comment: I don't see anything particularly wrong with this article. Bearian (talk) 01:18, 5 October 2026 (UTC)reply
Keep As Bearian noted the article seems fairly well rounded. There's a number of academic sources present, more than half of which (having not done a completely comprehensive review) I'd suspect cover the subject in at least 100 words, if not more.
I also don't think it's reasonable to discount a fair number of the additional sources entirely simply because they're Christian organizations. Just because they're also Christian doesn't mean they're affiliated or biased in some manner when discussing the topic, that they can't discuss the individual in a neutral, detached manner (beyond the fact of their implying the existence of a God, which is an unreasonable lens for us to look at this issue from seeing as we're trying to establish notability for a theologian). I think that takes a really narrow and somewhat diminutive view of theology, which isn't really practical at all; obviously the sources covering them are going to be broadly Christianity-focused in nature. Were we hoping for an expose in the Wall Street Journal?

Flag of Missoula, Montana (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) – (View AfD | edits since nomination)
(Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs) · FENS · JSTOR · TWL)

I propose merging Flag of Missoula, Montana to Rainbow flag (LGBTQ) as the content of the former makes more sense as a part of the History section of the latter. There is no "Flag of Missoula, Montana"; "A Resolution of the Missoula City Council Recognizing the Pride Flag as an Official Flag of the City of Missoula" did not create a flag for the city, but rather it gave unprecedented recognition to the rainbow pride flag (and any variant) as an official flag. To give a similar example from my home city, the rainbow and transgender pride flags have official status in Vancouver, but they are not "flags of Vancouver". The difference here is that Missoula doesn't have its own flag.

The scope of the content then is not really a "Flag of Missoula, Montana", but the event of the rainbow pride flag being officiated by the resolution. This can easily be a paragraph on the Rainbow flag (LGBTQ) article. Yue🌙 (talk) 00:03, 6 October 2026 (UTC)reply

@SenshiSun: My opinion would not stay the same, but not only is FOTW not a reliable source on its own, but it seems even the authors of that page are unsure if such a flag exists. Yue🌙 (talk) 05:00, 6 October 2026 (UTC)reply
