Hi, I'm Yonat, Prof. Friling's daughter, so I have a conflict of interest and won't edit the article directly. He asked me to propose the following updates. I'd be grateful if an uninvolved editor could review them.
1. Academic positions and professional career (end of section): add
- Between 2014 and 2025, Friling also served as a member of the academic board of the International Institute for Holocaust Research at Yad Vashem.
- Source: [SOURCE NEEDED> that's an update from my father, I couldn't find a source for this]
2. Same section, after the mention of the Wiesel Commission: add
- He was awarded a distinction by the President of Romania, Traian Băsescu, for his contribution to the commission's work and for his academic achievements.
- Source:
3. Books (end of list): add
- My Conversations with Clio: What Cannot Be Seen "From Here" Will Not Be Seen "From There" (Hebrew). Jerusalem: Carmel, 2026. 438 pp.
