Scheme? Really?

Are you sure that "scheme" is the appropriate word? The word doesn't exactly have a positive connotation.

Is philanthropy a scheme? Hirsch devoted much of his time to schemes for the relief of Jews in lands where they were persecuted and oppressed Jewish resettlement schemes Thereupon, Hirsch resolved to devote the money to an emigration and colonization scheme which should afford the persecuted Jews opportunities of establishing themselves in agricultural colonies outside Russia

"Jewish court bankers" = "court Jews"?

In the sentence "Descended from a family of Jewish court bankers" I wikilinked "Jewish court bankers" to "court Jews".
