I'm a bit shaky on my Israeli history and am trying to remember who the famous general was who always wore the eye patch. News footage shows him always with an old woman who was some sort of top Israeli diplomat. Can anyone tell me who these two folks were? Thank you! -Husnock 20:33, 8 October 2005 (UTC)Reply

That man with the eye patch was Moshe Dayan. The lady - maybe Golda Meir. (babagan@seznam.cz)
Thats them. Thank you! -Husnock 07:42, 17 October 2005 (UTC)Reply

Inaccurate statement at top of page

[edit]

At the top of the page it says that the individual the page is about was a military officer in Israel's "pre-state and early statehood eras" but that gives the impression they had a military before they were a state, when they had paramilitary forces (Haganah, Irgun, Lehi (Stern Gang)) that combined to form the IDF.
