It is also a pet-friendly hotel. A restored Ambassador car, referred to as the "Purple Lady," is displayed at the main entrance.[1]
History
[edit]Andaz is a lifestyle hotel brand developed by Hyatt Hotels Corporation. The name "Andaz," derived from Hindi, refers to personal style and individuality.[3] The brand focuses on integrating local culture and design into each property and operates in cities such as London, New York, and Tokyo.[3]
Andaz Delhi was the first Andaz property in India and the 16th globally. It opened in December 2016.[3][4] The hotel was designed by Bauer Latoza Studio and Virgile & Partners.[4] Its design incorporates elements reflecting Delhi's historical and urban context.
A key concept associated with the hotel is "401 Reasons to Fall in Love with Delhi," represented through individual artworks in each room and documented in a book available to guests.[5]
