- Resource link and title: Petits Propos Culinaires
- Link to request on RX: Wikipedia:WikiProject Resource Exchange/Resource Request/Archive_206#Joseph Cooper
Petits Propos Culinaires is a food history journal that very few institutions have access to, making RX ill-equipped for handling requests. I am looking to get a years subscription, as I write across food and individual articles are insufficient. There is no real search functionality offered by PPC without a subscription, so I can't make out the extent to which I would be able to write and expand articles, but I can list some examples I am confident in.
Writing an article on Joseph Cooper will require consulting PPC's article, I am looking to get manus Christi to GA should involve reviewing Confectionery Recipes from a Fifteenth-Century Manuscript, upcoming work on Australian cuisine will be much aided by access to The Bland or the Bountiful? Notes on Australian Dining Between the Wars, Edmund Mason, Mrs Irving and the First Australian Cookery Book, When Temperance Met Commerce, and Emergence of Modern Food Culture in Australia (1788–c.1950), recent work on sachertorte was hindered by lack of access to The Viennese Cuisine before Hitler – ‘One Cuisine in the Use of Two Nations’. - @Whonting: thanks for your request! I'll check with my colleagues who support The Wikipedia Library before looking further into whether we can provide a subscription. RAdimer-WMF (talk) 22:05, 18 August 2026 (UTC)
- @RAdimer-WMF, @Whonting I finally fulfilled the Resource Request through ILL. I can confirm that very few institutions have access to this journal as my ILL sat for 2 weeks before it was completed. OhanaUnitedTalk page 17:17, 15 September 2026 (UTC)
- @OhanaUnited: Awesome, thank you! And re: the more general request, we are unable to support journal subscriptions through RESUP. I'd recommend submitting this as a suggestion for The Wikipedia Library. RAdimer-WMF (talk) 21:09, 18 September 2026 (UTC)
