Name Website Source usage Notes
Fox News foxnews.com Search Consensus from several requests for comment has determined that Fox News is generally unreliable for political articles, especially those written during and after the 2020 presidential election; Fox News owner and former chairman Rupert Murdoch acknowledged that Fox News hosts perpetrated lies about the 2020 election under oath. Suzanne Scott, the chief executive of Fox News, said that fact checking Trump's falsehoods was "bad for business" in December 2020. Fox News talk shows must not be cited unless to source an opinion from a figure. See also: WP:FOXNEWSPOLITICS.
Newsweek (2013–present) newsweek.com Search In 2013, IBT Media acquired Newsweek, retaining control of the paper until 2018. During IBT Media's ownership, the quality of Newsweek is said to have decreased, according to former Newsweek journalist Jonathan Alter and former Newsweek senior writer Matthew Cooper. Newsweek has written false stories about Trump, including publishing the claim that the Polish first lady refused to shake Trump's hand, a claim proven false by Snopes, and a false assertion that Trump incorrectly colored the American flag, proven false again by Snopes. Though IBT Media no longer owns Newsweek, the paper often elevates minority viewpoints and has allowed journalists to use artificial intelligence. See also: WP:NEWSWEEK.
The Economic Times economictimes.indiatimes.com Search The Economic Times has a poor reputation for fact-checking. In November 2024, this newspaper (part of The Times of India) published an article about New York representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez that described her as a "young, vibrant and attractive senator" and appears to have been written by artificial intelligence. The Economic Times generally gives uneven weight to apparently topical issues in order to gain more views. See also: WP:TIMESOFINDIA.
