Victoria Seaways is a 198.99-metre Ro-Pax cruise ferry owned and operated by DFDS Seaways. Built in 2009 by Nuovi Cantieri Apuania in Marina di Carrara, Italy as part of the Coraggio-class series, she was originally delivered as Lisco Maxima for DFDS Lisco. Renamed Victoria Seaways in 2012, she is registered in Klaėpėda, Lithuania. Powered by two Wärtsilä 12V46 diesel engines producing 24,000 kW, she reaches service speeds of 24 knots and operates on DFDS Baltic and North Sea routes, including Kiel–Klaėpėda, Karlshamn–Klaėpėda, and Dunkerque–Rosslare.
Service
[edit]Ordered by Grimaldi Lines at Nuovi Cantieri Apuania in Marina di Carrara, it was however purchased on 17 January 2008 by DFDS, to which it was delivered on 8 April 2009 with the name Lisco Maxima. On 11 May it entered service on the connections between Kiel and Klaipėda, where it still operates today in tandem with Luna Seaways. On 28 March 2012 she was renamed Victoria Seaways.[1][2][3]
On 23 April 2013, during a night cruise to Klaipėda, a fire broke out on board the ferry, which was quickly put out by the crew.[4][5] From 2014 to 27 September 2021 it also operates connections between Klaipėda and Karlshamn.[6]
