Fixed, let me just confirm with more testcases. But I don't know how I missed that! But I didn't wrap it in a parent container!!!! See example below comparing before and now waddie96 ★ (talk) 21:48, 3 October 2025 (UTC)

Hmm, I can't get it to replicate the behaviour from the article below, but when I test edited it on the article it shows the fix because it positions correctly. See comparison after fix below... It was a rookie error of no container.... Silly me! waddie96 ★ (talk) 21:53, 3 October 2025 (UTC)

Use centralized logo generation?

The templates that use sister project logos are inconsistent: they don't do alt correctly, they use outdated logos, and some of them don't even obey the CC license. To remedy this, I've created Module:Sister project logo, which attempts to standardize the correct use of sister project logos. I've updated the sandbox to call this module. You can see the results in the test cases:

• For logos that are PD, link and alt are both blank (per MOS:BLANKALT)
• For logos that are CC licensed, the alt field has been updated to be descriptive (per the discussion at Template talk:Sister project)
• The skin-invert-image class has been added to the wiktionary logo, to make it work in dark mode.
• The mediawiki logo has been updated to the latest logo
• The wikibooks logo has been changed to not have text. This text was unreadable at 16x16: the logo is now clearer.

@Hike395: Thanks for doing this. There does seem to be an error now where {{Commons category-inline}} displays the default Mediawiki logo instead of the Commons logo. I think it's something to do with the parameter "project=commonscat" in that template, but I'm not sure which template or module needs adjusted. Pi.1415926535 (talk) 01:31, 30 March 2026 (UTC)
