Change ‘Edit source’ to just ‘Edit’

[edit]

Due to the new Vector 2023 skin, ‘Edit source’ at the top of the page only reads ‘Edit’. Should the change be reflected on the template or not?

Thanks, TwoGamer1000 21:11, 27 September 2025 (UTC)Reply

It realy depends on the user settings. It can be changed in Special:Preferences#mw-prefsection-editing, under editing mode. Logged in I see "edit source", logged out I see "Edit" which still brings me to source editor. I agree, new accounts/IPs see Edit which brings to source editor, and most users of the sandbox are new users/temp users. Myrealnamm (💬Let's talk · 📜My work) 00:09, 2 December 2025 (UTC)Reply
OK, understood!

add { { Not a sandbox } } tag perhaps?

[edit]

This could easily be mistaken for a sandbox. ~2026-38495-11 (talk) 20:03, 7 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
