Is this a useful template?

[edit]

I am concerned that this template it a bit contrived and not particularly practical. The links entailed here are largely references to the spread of Islam, and some are simply redirects back to entirely differently presented articles, such as Islamization of Syria, which routes back to Islam in Syria, or Islamization and Turkification of Xinjiang, which links to Turkic settlement of the Tarim Basin - otherwise known as just people settling somewhere. This template attempts to nit together a series of social, demographic and gradual religious changes that took place across millennia in different geographies, but all repackaged in the form of the onerous 'ism of "Islamization". It would be absurd if applied to other faiths - no one speaks of Christianization or Buddhization for instance. Iskandar323 (talk) 17:10, 16 July 2022 (UTC)Reply

No one speaks of Christianization? That's not true at all. 159.205.21.59 (talk) 11:06, 9 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
