This template may be used on the doc page of a template whose use is linked to a Growth team newcomer suggested edits task.

Parameters
[edit]There is one optional positional parameter:
|1=– a type token specifying the type of improvement being suggested to the user. Optional; causes the message to be expanded with the type of improvement being suggested. Permitted type values:copyedit– appends "copyedit the article" to the message (alias:ce)links– appends "add links to the article" to the message (alias:link)tone– appends "revise the tone of the article" to the messagerefs– appends "find references for the article" to the message (alias:references)update– appends "update the article" to the message (alias:upd)expand– appends "expand the article" to the message (alias:stub)anything else you type– appends "anything else you type the article" to the message
- default: if you leave it out, the message ends, "to improve the article".

Notes
[edit]The suggested edits newcomer task displays an article in need of attention to a new user on their WP:Newcomer homepage based on the presence of one or more configurable maintenance templates at the article. For example, if article XYZ has template {{Underlinked}} on it, that article might be shown to a new user as part of the 'add links' suggestion. Most suggested edit types (e.g., 'expand short articles', 'add links', 'find references', 'update the article', 'copyedit') are based on maintenance template presence, but type 'revise tone' is not based directly on an article having a template, but on article content analysis based on a large language model trained on the Peacock template.
