{{Born in}} generates an abbreviation "b." for "born"; it has a tooltip explaining its meaning. It can be shortened to {{b.}}.
This template has no function to add a "c." (for "circa"), so the template {{circa}} (short {{c.}}) can instead be embedded.
Usage

[edit]|1=: A required unnamed parameter representing a year (or range of years).- A non-breaking space is put between the "b." and the number, preventing a line break here.
|lk=no: disables the tooltip. (Alternatively|lk=off.)- This doesn't affect the
circa, which has to have its own|lk=no
- This doesn't affect the
|i=: Italicises the template and its contents.
