Yellow-headed Amazon

[edit]

I have always heard of this particular species referred to as "yellow-headed Amazon" (I have a pet of the species). Google finds that such terms are used elsewhere, also. I think it should be added to the article, and perhaps redirect pages with this term should be established, as well.--09:09, 9 April 2006 (UTC)

An old comment, but just in case. No, it should not be redirected, as they're two different species. • Rabo³16:35, 22 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

..

Many of the Amazon parrots have yellow heads, but this one, and only this one, has the distinctive yellow on the shoulders, hence the proper naming.
