I created "Draft:Nope Your Too Late I Already Died", but most of its main sources are already covered in this draft. Would it be appropriate to merge the song article into the Wifiskeleton draft, perhaps under the "Breakthrough" or its own section? Draftification Request

This article originated in draft space and was accepted via AfC. Coverage primarily uses the moniker “Wifiskeleton,” and I understand the concerns regarding prior salting and name-shifting. In a proposed deletion, KyleSirTalksAlot stated that Wifiskeleton is protected under WP:SALT and that using his full name is seen as an attempt to bypass that protection. They also noted that, while the subject may be notable, a draft should be created rather than working around the salt—despite the page already having been a draft. @Pppery: I had initially intended to decline this based on the Pitchfork source, as it was published after the AfD closed. I'm not entirely sure though that this is enough to overturn the prior AfD. Part of me thinks that it may be a good idea to run this through AfD once again, as there may be other sources that also make a similar claim.

Even if non-English articles don't count, he 100% has enough coverage at this point to overturn AfD. Hollywood Life, Billboard, Pitchfork, Mint, The Mirror, etc.

That isn't true. If I remember correctly, the original article was deleted in early May, which would've been months before the Billboard and Pitchfork articles were written. Also, keep in mind that a lack of notability wasn't the only problem with the original page; it was also just a poorly written article with AI-written portions and a lack of sources cited, which isn't the case with this one NP2026576180 (talk) 20:52, 7 February 2026 (UTC)

Wifiskeleton is a popular gen Z artist, he has 7 million monthly listeners at the moment. He died last year unexpectedly and so many of his fans are I guess creating this page in tribute. A similar thing happened just a few months ago with Maxon Margiela but for some reason that page was not deleted even tho most of its sources were Churnalist sites. So I'm confused why Wifiskeleton who is far more successful is constantly being deleted Aradicus77 (talk) 04:36, 9 February 2026 (UTC)

Contested deletion

This page should not be speedily deleted because the first article that was deleted via discussion was initially another article, but was then moved to this article to fix the flaws that prevented it from becoming an article. If you look at the logs of the original AFD discussion and look the logs in the deleted article that are within the same time frame, you would find that the original draft (that originally went through AFD) was much different than the current article(Jeremiah Justin Simms), and the errors in the original(such as unverifiable alternative names, occupations, relatives, groups, and many other forms of unsourced plagiarism that likely came from tabloid articles and fandom wikis) were why it was deleted. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Azzræl (talk • contribs) 21:35, 6 February 2026 (UTC)

What you describe is precisely the WP:G4 issue at hand, "[G4] applies to [recreating] sufficiently identical copies, having any title, of a page deleted" (bolding my own emphasis) and precisely why this has been nominated for speedy, since it was deleted at AFD with the Wifiskeleton title July 20th 2025, then created the very next month on August 20, 2025 (with the tag recreated). Well-written

Two thoughts for now. I've been focused on sourcing. Once those fixes are made, I will look over the prose again.

• We probably don't need subsections in "Life and career" since there are just short paragraphs.
• He moved out of his parents' house at age 16, calling the experience "scary as fuck" in a 2024 Instagram Live interview. — we can be more judicious with this primary source. Calling it "scary as fuck" does not tell us much. Instead, where did he go and why?

Round two:

• Probably too many occupations in the first sentence. Stick with musician and YouTuber.
• Interviews are best for simple, concrete facts. So the quote should be removed. He says later on that he was expelled from high school. That's a better detail; you can add it if you want. We could talk about him moving out in detail if it was contextualized in a feature story.
• While reading, I wondered why he used so many aliases. AllMusic gives the differences between *67 and Wifiskeleton, which might help.
• Kieran Press-Reynolds of Pitchfork stated that the song saw a surge in global popularity and streaming activity following Wifiskeleton's death. — not different enough from the previous sentence. How about: "He had 8 million monthly listeners on Spotify after streams for the song surged."
• Artist Ayowitty stated that a new wave of musicians were making "Wifiskeleton type songs" and replicating his sound to the point of cliché. — "making Wifiskeleton type songs" is redundant.

Verifiable with no original research

Hmm. This will be difficult. I suppose Wifiskeleton is notable. He passes the musician SNG in many places. And it looks like he can pass AfD. But, of course, making a well-written and comprehensive bio is more difficult that proving an article can exist. In this case, our article will probably have to be brief because the sources seem to give a minimum of encyclopedic information. To me, AllMusic and a few obituaries have SIGCOV. But it looks like some sources have flaws. A lot of the obituaries are citing the Daily Mirror, a shoddy tabloid. Some obituaries (especially Mint) have a strange human-interest writing style. Luckily, I think the Wikipedia article does a good job of not being emotional or sensational. So, I guess, where do we go from here? Some thoughts:

• Remove unsourced bands and aliases in the infobox.
• I suggest removing the Daily Mirror. Maybe that sounds inconsistent, but we're stuck between a rock and a hard place. If other sources can replace it, use them.
• I'm skeptical of Mint. It gives a very wrong expansion of "BIYMMATCIATG", refers to two of his albums as singles, and says he released music as Cyrus. I just don't understand how it reached these conclusions. Maybe I am being too overbearing. I will ask for a second opinion.
• The Horizon Sun should be removed. High school newspapers are not reliable.
• In the Internet age, few people would care about a livestream reupload. Still, don't link to them. They are copyright violations. It is pushing the boundaries of WP:PUBLISHED to use Instagram Lives only archived by fans. But I will give benefit of the doubt. Use {{Cite AV media}} or {{Cite interview}} for them.
• Debate cites Wikipedia and repeats our infobox. It shouldn't be used. Maybe it can also be replaced: e.g., Vanguardia talks about GothAngelz's founding.
• The quote from the Instagram Live before his death is unverified.

Round two:

• TVyNovelas talks about sigilkore, but it does not verify the sentence. Look at this again.
• Vanguardia does not list the other cofounders. If you can find a primary source from GothAngelz as a group, that can be used.
• Cite Spotify if you want to say Lovefool released in June.
• Etika probably should not link to that archive channel. In our case, we should cite the actual livestream and not the reupload. This means including the date and (if it had one) title, but excluding a link. This is fine because all that matters is that our source is accessible somewhere. Since timestamps are not feasible, we can use quotes. It would look like:

• For the discography, just stick to projects on his main account. Wikipedia is not here to archive everything.

Round two:

• Vanguardia says a bit more about Cyrus. He gave bitter and direct commentary on other peoples' videos.
• I'm fine to not use Mint for the Artistry section, as it borrows from the Genius bio from when he died. But I have one suggestion. Kieran says he popularized a style of "depressive droning over looped guitar beats". It is good to work that in to be more specific.

Looks OK. I think his suicide is written about dispassionately and neutrally following MOS:SUICIDE. However:

• The grooming allegation and his denial should be removed per WP:PUBLICFIGURE: "If you cannot find multiple reliable third-party sources documenting the allegation or incident, leave it out."

5. Thanks for giving some leeway on the Instagram Live reuploads. Since reuploads are the only Instagram Live clips of him that still exist, and there is a huge amount of information about him in them, I was hoping they could be kept. I also noticed the good article version of Etika cited reuploaded livestreams, so I was hoping it would be fine for Wifiskeleton. {{Cite AV media}} was already used, so all good there.
6. Removed Debate and replaced with Vanguardia.
7. Removed the unsourced part of the quote.
