One of the greatest

[edit]

I've reverted the recent addition of "one of the greatest and influential vocalists of all time" to the lead in this edit. This is clearly an opinion, and it is far preferable that the lead paragraph starts with facts. Apart from that, the term "greatest" is imprecise. How is this being measured? One can be a great vocalist, in a matter of opinion, in many ways. So it's little else than peacocking (the link is to a MOS guideline that specifically mentions the use of "greatest"). There is something to be said about her being influential, but I would think that leading with her music sales is more certain ground with harder facts. I agree. Wikipedia articles are supposed to be neutral but there's always someone who presents a more biased view of an artist. BrothaTimothy (talk · contribs) 20:20, 10 September 2026 (UTC) BrothaTimothy (talk · contribs) 20:20, 10 September 2026 (UTC)Reply
