Missing history

[edit]

This article is missing a time-line of how the concept of weird machines came to be. It leaves me with the following questions: 1) who came up with the term? 2) was the concept introduced in a single paper, or has it evolved over time? Unfortunately, I have only relatively recently been introduced to the concept, so I know little of it's origins. SkyLined (talk) 11:51, 7 November 2016 (UTC)Reply

Other applicability: AI?

[edit]

I've seen recent "AI" (LLM etc.) models to also take input and if not sanitised properly, may lead to unintended (side) effects, similar to e.g. ROP. I don't have a quotation but this may be worth outlining. When securing "AI" systems, I found it useful to look at both the "base" machine and the "weird" (AI) machine.
