Updated PaleoArt

[edit]

I feel that the paleo-art for the Tyrannosaurus Rex, is somewhat outdated compared to the other dinos, so can we please have a new and updated model for the king?? thanks in advance, just a request from my side JithEdits (talk) 13:26, 5 March 2026 (UTC)Reply

Which paleoart, specifically? the article’s images are mostly fossils, silhouettes, and museum mounts Borealopelta markmitchelli (talk) 00:11, 12 July 2026 (UTC)Reply

There is a study about the maximum size for the T.rex should we include them into the size paragraph?

[edit]

There is a study by Dr. Jordan Mallon and Dr. David Hone about the hypothetical maximum size of the T.rex suggesting that the animal could reach 15 tonnes 70% larger heavier than the current know heaviest specimen, however if we do should it be taken with caution? source:https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/ece3.11658 Analyst90 (talk) 16:17, 7 March 2026 (UTC)Reply

Parenting and hatchling behavior

[edit]

There is ongoing research suggesting that our current Parenting section needs updating. Here's a new article that gives a good account for the general, non-specialist reader: Fossil Evidence Indicates Baby T. rex Were Tiny, but Deadly, Discover (magazine), Jul 20, 2026. Pete Tillman (talk) 18:58, 21 July 2026 (UTC)Reply

It's already in the article (section "Life History"), two long paragraphs; needs pruning in my opinion. --Jens Lallensack (talk) 19:08, 21 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
Thanks! I agree: could use pruning. Interesting work. Cheers, Pete Tillman (talk) 00:46, 22 July 2026 (UTC)Reply

Change "..., though it running at this speed is very unlikely." to "..., though running at this speed is very unlikely." Mtis3 (talk) 19:32, 25 July 2026 (UTC)Reply

Done; I instead removed this part (redundant per the next sentence, and needs to be attributed to the cited study). --Jens Lallensack (talk) 20:10, 25 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
