Under the Death subtopic, the Death date is wrongly given as 14th of Jan, while the actual date is 17th of Jan as per all the news reports. Susobhang70 (talk) 18:37, 17 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

Mehr Tarar

[edit]

Since I am not an auto confirmed user hence cannot edit the page. Can someone put link to Mehr Tarar's Wikipedia page on Sunanda's article? Thanks Arun Kumar SINGH (Talk) 19:21, 17 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

Someone just created that article. I don't think that subject has long term notability. Until it is not deleted, no problem to link it. Abhi (talk) 19:30, 17 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

Name should be Sunanda Pushkar Tharoor

[edit]

Sunanda had officially adopted the name Sunanda Pushkar Tharoor. How about reflecting the same on Wiki? In her Twitter account, she uses the name Sunanda P Tharoor. I think this could be a sufficient evidence to change the name. However we need inputs of fellow editors before moving the page to a different name. Please let us know your thoughts on this.Quartzd (talk) 08:27, 19 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

Google results, Sunanda Pushkar - 33,80,000 and Sunanda Pushkar Tharoor - 29,40,000. She is trending on twitter as 'Sunanda Pushkar', not as 'Sunanda Pushkar Tharoor'. Also her death suggests that her marriage with Shashi Tharoor was on the rock. She has said in media before death that she will seek divorce. Inappropriate to attach surname Tharoor of her third husband after her death. Abhi (talk) 09:44, 19 January 2014 (UTC)Reply
Agree, name should be Sunanda Pushkar Tharoor as she wasnt divorced & she had adopted & used her name giving it an official status  Đõc §aмέέЯ  10:36, 19 January 2014 (UTC)Reply
For similar reasons, I want the title of the page Kareena Kapoor Khan to be "Kareena Kapoor", seriously. I mean, do we refer Cat Stevens as "yusuf islam"? Bladesmulti (talk) 12:28, 22 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

Lihaas, avoid BBC links, they copy much from wikipedia. Bladesmulti (talk) 12:25, 22 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

Need "see also" and "external links"

[edit]

Like every other popular article has. This one needs aswell, the major contributor of this page must suggest something similar. Bladesmulti (talk) 18:34, 25 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

See also and external links aren't "needed" in any article - they are customary where they are relevant to the subject and, in the case of external links, provide further information not already included in the article. I have removed the see also link to Insurgency in Jammu and Kashmir, as it is irrelevant beyond the fact that her family was forced to move by the uprising, and also because that link was already in the article. For additional guidance, see WP:See also and WP:EL.--ukexpat (talk) 14:27, 31 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

Doesn't make sense

[edit]

Why does the article state her use of 'Pushkar' was "an alternative spelling of her father's name" when at the top it gives his name as spelled as 'Pushkar' also?
