New edits

Collected the bibliography at the end of the article, added perhaps a dozen new reliable sources, copy-edited the article to improve neutrality and clarity. These edits are too many to summarize here but, I think, it's very clear that the revised article is better-sourced and less biased. Merge proposal

I propose merging Islamic leadership into Succession to Muhammad. I think the first article entirely duplicates the intentions of this one—sans references—and the links to it would appropriately arrive here, none of them seem to be about leadership generally. Biased wording

"maintains" gives an indication that Muhammad allegedy appointing him is a historical fact not a exclusively Shia view/interpretation of the events as it actually is instead. So I changed it to a more neutral word. ~2025-38592-90 (talk) 12:46, 28 February 2026 (UTC)
