I just made a change: The french parisian is not standart, "le parisien" is a slang from the working class of Paris. The standart Frnce is between Orléans and Angers follwing the Loire Valley in the Région "Centre". Phil of Bristol 13:16, 19 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

This is a commonly held popular belief in France. But I think it comes from embarrassment that Paris is the centre of everything there. People feel batter if they can say that Tours French is better than Parisian French, but that's not the way things work. Academic works refer to the French of middle and upper-class Parisians as being standard. Joeldl 18:26, 19 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

It doesn't come from embarassment but it is truly because parisians have an accent when they speak French. It is easy to spot it. Therefore, standard French is not Parisian French.
