Far-right?
[edit]Can someone provide some extra context as to the far right description? ~2026-10939-91 (talk) 14:05, 18 February 2026 (UTC)
- You can see extensive discussion of this in the Talk:Restore Britain talk page. — The Anome (talk) 13:45, 19 February 2026 (UTC)
It used to mean anti-democratic, or racist, or both. Now, it seems to mean ‘so far, I’ve been right’. ~2026-30134-15 (talk) 08:19, 19 May 2026 (UTC)
Lock Edits?
[edit]Perhaps it might be wise to lock this page ahead of the upcoming elections… ~2026-23956-40 (talk) 20:03, 19 April 2026 (UTC)
- I can't see that there are any particular issues of disruptive editing or vandalism right now that would justify locking over other British political pages at the moment. But I do think people should be hypervigilant of BLPs during elections of any political figure. GnocchiFan (talk) 18:20, 7 May 2026 (UTC)
- Spoke too soon! Banburry Vanguardist had a right vandalism 20 minutes ago by writing as though it was 2029 and RL was PM... BadassFingolfin (talk) 19:48, 9 May 2026 (UTC)
- I agree with this and feel like we should reconsider as the Makerfield by-election is coming soon and so is the rape gang enquiry. I think this should be locked to the same degree as Nigel Farage, Keir Starmer and Zack Polanski. Stealthship7 (talk) 17:50, 3 June 2026 (UTC)
Adding evidence Lowe's "far-right racism"
[edit]When I went over the section on Rupert Lowe's views, I noticed that it included journals saying that he had racist and far right views, yet none were included. Without it, that section seems slanderous. Adding his views on immigration, Muslims, or other topics that may lead credence should be added. If evidence for the claims of extremism can't be found, then that assertion, imo, should be removed. JerryManjer (talk) 00:02, 10 May 2026 (UTC)
Information on Lowe's son in Personal life section
[edit]Is the full name of Lowe's son and his wife (mentioned in the Personal life section) due in this article? They don't seem independently notable. – GnocchiFan (talk) 18:08, 3 June 2026 (UTC)
- Agreed, I think that claim ought to be removed per WP:BLPPRIVACY since neither of them are independantly notable. ᴸᵃᶠᶠʸTaffer💬(they/she) In solidarity 18:16, 3 June 2026 (UTC)
- If nothing else it 1) doesn't actually have anything to do with Rupert Lowe and 2) was clearly introduced to try to make a point. I've removed it. — Czello (music) 18:42, 3 June 2026 (UTC)
- My thoughts exactly (and I say this as someone who's not a fan of Lowe). GnocchiFan (talk) 20:35, 3 June 2026 (UTC)

Similar info has been re-added by King of Crimson, which I have now removed. This contains synthesis of published material and the wording is decidedly not neutral, especially in stating that Lowe "allowed" his son to marry a Muslim woman. There is also no indication that his son is independently notable, nor that he shares his father's politics, so the (implied) allegation of hypocrisy doesn't stand.
By analogy, if a vegetarian who opposes all animal slaughter attended their (otherwise non-notable) child's wedding at which meat was served, we would not mention it, nor would we normally infer that this reflected a change in, contradiction of, or exception to their beliefs. The same principle applies here. – GnocchiFan (talk) 18:44, 11 June 2026 (UTC)
- This is literally an exception of Lowe's beliefs. He hasn't condemned this wedding at all nor has he spoken out against his son. Lowe doesn't condemn people like Carl Benjamin, Sam Wilkes or Steve Lawes nor their audiences who speak of remigration and keeping the country "pure" whilst at the same time never publicly condemning the mixing of ethnicities at his own "front door".
- Removing my edit is one thing if you feel it is not relevant but claiming that Lowe is not grifting or contradicting his own beliefs is blatantly dishonest especially with the fact that the people I've mentioned above have done a good job sweeping this under the rug.
- I think it should stay for this reason as it is not being reported elsewhere and if we do not show this information here it will be kept quiet for decades until some brave soul mentions it at which point it will be decried as being against the "consensus"[as if mob rule is the most effective epistemology.] King of Crimson (talk) 06:50, 13 June 2026 (UTC)
- It is not for us to spin a narrative that is clearly intended to portray Lowe in a bad light. — Czello (music) 07:09, 13 June 2026 (UTC)
