Under the heading: Leader of Restore Britain

There is a grammar error within the below paragraph which I have highlighted in bold:

The Leader of Restore Britain is the most senior and highest position within Restore Britain. The current holder is party founder Rupert Lowe, who became leader on 30 June 2025 after founding the party as a pressure group. Lowe and Reform UK Leader Nigel Farage due to Lowe's criticism of Reform UK's leadership and criticism of Farage, which led to his departure from Reform UK in March 2025.[62] On 13 February 2026 Restore Britain became a political party.[63] Makethingsright7 (talk) 21:15, 28 July 2026 (UTC)

@Ollieisanerd @ Finfixer Please could you update "As of 14 July 2026" to "As of 29 July 2026". Edit request: add a section on the proposal to form an alliance with Reform

Over the last week, it has been widely reported that Lowe was seeking a merger or pact with Reform, although Farage has turned down the offer citing antisemitism in Restore:

The i Paper... https://inews.co.uk/news/politics/reform-deal-restore-off-insiders-4697168

The Daily Telegraph... https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2026/08/09/restore-reform-charlie-charlie-downes-nigel-farage-lowe/

Politico... https://www.politico.eu/article/nigel-farage-reform-uk-rupert-lowe-restore-britain-rift/

The Guardian... https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2026/aug/02/rupert-lowe-urges-nigel-farage-to-work-with-restore-britain

Therefore it would be due weight to include this information within the article. ~2026-41567-01 (talk) 01:52, 13 August 2026 (UTC)

Antisemitism as part of ideology

many sources point towards Restore Britain being anti-semitic whether its banning kosher food or donors within the party supporting Hitler Openly

https://www.jewishnews.co.uk/reform-uk-ruling-out-deal-with-restore-britain-over-antisemitism-row/ https://www.thejc.com/news/politics/restore-britain-donor-another-hitler-x6t4bdwu https://www.jpost.com/diaspora/antisemitism/article-905230 https://searchlightmagazine.com/2026/08/restores-charlie-downes-hands-farage-a-get-out-of-jail-free-card/ Cheeseboyprime (talk) 15:27, 20 August 2026 (UTC)

The criticism should definitely be included, but neither of those sources actually say that antisemitism is a official part of the party's policy. Personally, I don't think it should be included in the infobox. GnocchiFan (talk) 16:51, 20 August 2026 (UTC)

Request from BeanVoyager

Hello,

I noticed that the page was edited last night to describe Restore Britain as “ethnonationalist” in several places. I have notified Restore Britain of the change, and I believe the classification should be removed unless it can be supported by reliable, independent sources.

Rather than immediately reverting the changes myself, I thought it was appropriate to raise the issue here first and explain why I believe the new wording is inaccurate.

The sources currently being used to support the “ethnonationalist” description appear to establish, at most, that some individuals have characterised Restore Britain in this way. That is not necessarily sufficient to establish that “ethnonationalist” is an accurate description of the organisation itself.

There is also contrary evidence from Restore Britain's own published material. In its document *Restore Britain's Philosophy of National Belonging*, the party explicitly states:

> “But I reject the two extremes. I reject the proposition that Britishness is exclusively racial.” [1]

That would appear to be directly relevant to the question of whether the organisation advocates an ethnonationalist conception of British identity.

Rupert Lowe has also publicly stated that he detests the “far right” and “ethnonationalists”, which is further evidence that the organisation's stated position is not straightforwardly one of ethnonationalism. [2]

I am aware that individuals who describe themselves as ethnonationalists have supported, joined, or attempted to associate themselves with Restore Britain. However, the presence of such individuals does not in itself establish that Restore Britain as an organisation holds an ethnonationalist ideology. The distinction seems particularly important when making a categorical statement in Wikipedia's voice.

I would therefore suggest that the burden should be on those wishing to retain the description to provide reliable, independent sources demonstrating that “ethnonationalist” is an established and accurate characterisation of Restore Britain's ideology, rather than simply evidence that particular commentators have described it that way.

I would make the same point regarding the repeated description of Restore Britain as “far-right”. Political classifications should be based on reliable sources and established definitions rather than being presented as objective fact simply because individual commentators or contributors consider the label appropriate. Like the person above has stated, 'Right' is right, 'far-right' is wrong.

I'm happy to discuss the wording and look at the sources being cited. My intention here is not to sanitise criticism of Restore Britain, but to ensure that contentious political classifications are actually supported by the evidence.

P.S I have not contributed to Wikipedia for many years and can't remember how to use it properly so forgive me if this is formatted incorrectly. — Preceding unsigned comment added by BeanVoyager (talk • contribs) 14:45, 3 September 2026 (UTC) --BeanVoyager (talk) 14:46, 3 September 2026 (UTC)

Sorry but no. We literally just had an RfC close that assessed the consensus on this issue. That's why those edits were made. Because a formal consensus was found. This is a non-starter at this time. Simonm223 (talk) 14:50, 3 September 2026 (UTC)
+1 to what Simon said. Ps, around here, we go with what independent, reliable secondary sources say, not with organisations' spin. TarnishedPathtalk 14:54, 3 September 2026 (UTC)

Change any mention of Ethnic-nationalist to Civic Nationalist.

Rupert Lowe, leader of Restore Britain, has publicly disavowed ethno-nationalism many times. One of their policies is to remove the red tape and financial cost of bringing a foreign born spouse into the country regardless of their ethnicity. Hardly an ethno-nationalist party. It's simply a label given by intellectually lazy people who can not be bothered to actually research and discuss the true issues they actually have with the party.

Please remove the Ethno-nationalist slur as it does not represent the policies or the ideology of the leader Mr Lowe but it does instantly discourage any centrist who may be interested in learning more. S.charltonoconnor (talk) 21:03, 6 September 2026 (UTC)

Not done: see above RFC. Also see WP:PRIMARY Cannolis (talk) 21:40, 6 September 2026 (UTC)
(edit conflict)  Not done: See the extensive discussion above which saw consensus for the inclusion of "ethno-nationalism". We are also more interested in how independent, secondary sources have described the party, rather than what they have said about themselves – Lowe's denial is fully in WP:MANDY territory. In solidarity, nil nz 21:43, 6 September 2026 (UTC)
Yes, that lengthy discussion seems to be rational people pointing two weak sources citing ethno-nationalism and a suggestion that it’s more poignant to describe some ideas discussed by the party as ethnic nationalist leaning in the main article body, but certainly to describe the whole parties ideology as ethno national clearly shows a strong anti-restore bias from whoever holds the Power here.
It’s indicative of the left wing capture and decline of this platform and has directly resulted in its financial struggles and the ridicule of anyone using Wikipedia as a serious source.
I hope for redemption of this platform. given the above discussion and the “holier than thou” silencing of any one who wishes to make this edit, it doesn’t look very likely ~2026-48470-08 (talk) 08:15, 7 September 2026 (UTC)
I see more people calling for option B in that discussion, but it seems the ruling went for C because one person came in at the end with a bunch of cherrypicked sources and somehow that is "consensus". There's really no point in using Wikipedia for anything to do with politics or history. ~2026-48900-12 (talk) 13:08, 9 September 2026 (UTC)
I know it seems somewhat counterintuitive (and when I first started editing took me a while to wrap my head around), but "consensus" isn't determined by a straight vote count, but rather by the strength of policy-based arguments and sourcing brought into discussions – see WP:Wikipedia is not a democracy. In this instance, 8 editors !voted B, and 8 editors !voted for C; the reason why C became consensus is because of the sourcing, and none of the editors who !voted for B challenged that sourcing (and in fact, one editor changed their position because of it). If anyone unhappy with the way that discussion went believes that the sources were "cherrypicked", then the solution would have been to introduce additional sources. In solidarity, nil nz 00:04, 10 September 2026 (UTC)
If you genuinely have a serious problem with using Wikipedia as a serious source, just because they describe a political party in a way that you don't like (per WP:IDONTLIKEIT), then there's one simple solution to that: just don't use Wikipedia as a serious source. Seriously. That simple. No one is forcing you to use Wikipedia. You are free to use some other site that describes Restore Britain in a way you see fit, but Wikipedia is not the place for that. ~2026-49446-33 (talk) 21:18, 11 September 2026 (UTC)
