Suggestions

[edit]

Rescued dog would be a shelter dog someone rescued. The dog got rescued it does not rescue anything, please adjust page title and contents to the proper terms, separate if both are used here as they are not the same at all. Rescue dog would rescue things not be rescued.

This article seems to be about two subjects, dogs which rescue people and dogs which have been rescued from destruction. Would it not be a good idea to seperate this into two articles? Fitz05 21:50, 15 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Would be very good indeed. At the very least, headers should split them apart. Goldfritha 21:59, 15 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Added stub and cleanup... this article probably needs to be merged but I'm not sure how to do that if so. There is articles on animal abuse and euthanasia etc. The whole 'greyhound' thing is absolutely not relevant to the article unless something is fleshed out. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.52.236.63 (talk) 03:20, 7 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

I have updated this in the hope that the article Rescue Dogs can remain standalone. AH 08/05/2010 —Preceding unsigned comment added by Pogue909 (talkcontribs) 21:09, 8 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

Merge and rewrite

[edit]

If nobody has any issues with it, I'd like to merge Rescued dog into this article, and give it a general rewrite into something far more proper and wikipedian.

If anyone wants to suggest any sources on the topic, I would welcome them. You can check my progress at my Sandbox. Jesse Groppi (talk) 23:55, 21 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

It's been a year or so but I've now merged them. Anna talk 20:00, 25 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

Merger proposal

[edit]

I propose that this article be moved into a new dog-specific section of pet adoption. Much of the content of pet adoption is generic and applicable to dogs as well as other animals. A new section created from this article could then provide information specific to dog adoption. The size of this entire article is small enough to be suitable for a single section within another article, and the added content would improve the quality of pet adoption. After the merger, this page would become a redirect to the new dog-specific section. Waz8:T-C-E 02:47, 22 July 2018 (UTC)Reply
