Murder of Lana Clarkson

[edit]

In respect to her family this topic should be highlight more and probably a whole section on this. Also he had a reputation of being brutal to women. You would barely know he was convicted of murder in this profile. 81.191.169.226 (talk) 11:31, 20 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

Completely agree. Needs more weight than part of a sentence. SouthernResidentOrca (talk) 12:47, 3 April 2025 (UTC)Reply

"Convicted murderer" in lead section

[edit]

Taking MOS:CRIMINAL into consideration, how should we format the first paragraph of the lead section? Thanks, Lord Sjones23 (talk - contributions) 01:42, 8 March 2025 (UTC)Reply

@Sjones23 Well, how we're doing it now seems to heavily underplay it. MOS:CRIMINAL says "better to describe the specific crime itself", which murder is, so we could just call him a murderer, or better move the sentence about the murder into the first paragraph. Well, I'll see what can be done about moving the murder sentence to the first paragraph. Lord Sjones23 (talk - contributions) 00:26, 17 April 2025 (UTC)Reply
Update: I think the current sentence as written by ILIL (talk · contribs), Harvey Phillip Spector (December 26, 1939 – January 16, 2021) was an American record producer and songwriter who is best known for pioneering recording practices in the 1960s, followed by his trials and conviction for murder in the 2000s., would be a much more better approach. Info box

[edit]

His conviction and sentence should be included in his background info, similar to other convicted criminals. With the exception of a few lines, the fact that he was a murderer is buried in a sub. 2605:59C8:222A:1610:60BF:4321:6BE7:E39B (talk) 14:44, 20 July 2025 (UTC)Reply

I do agree that the infobox seems like an appropriate place to document that information. ···sardonism · t · c 23:55, 28 July 2025 (UTC)Reply

Grammatical error

[edit]

"His was a first-generation immigrant Russian-Jewish family in the Bronx, New York City." I think there's a word missing there, but I'm not sure exactly what. JPHC2003 (talk) 07:41, 5 August 2025 (UTC)Reply

"He was born into a first-generation immigrant Russian-Jewish family in the Bronx, New York City." As a suggestion, this sounds better, but this is literally the first time I've felt compelled to correct grammar on a Wikipedia page or submit anything on a talk page, and don't wanna change anything myself so as to not ruffle feathers if I end up being wrong. But glad somebody noticed that besides me. 69.11.38.89 (talk) 23:08, 15 August 2025 (UTC)Reply

Did Phil Spector smoke?
