- Source: The hook is a compiled fact from multiple sources. For the 1959 performance in Amahl and the Night Visitors see this review: "Workshop's Amahl Stagings Applauded". LNP. December 6, 1959. p. 34. For the fact that the performance in that opera was his debut see: "Local Baritone Gives Concert. Darrenkamp Rates A-Plus". Lancaster New Era. February 5, 1968. p. 7. For his 2015 performance in Amahl see: Molitoris, Cathy (December 17, 2015). "Amahl: A Family Story, a Family Tradition". LNP. p. EL13. His Met career is documented at length with many sources in the article so I won't bother to provide a source here for that. Hook fact is clearly stated in both articles with citations.
