You could add the link to the noble family he belongs to.
[edit]He is a descendant from the House of Golitsyn, you could add this to his biography.

House of Golitsyn
[edit]There are no sources I can find that state Nicholas Galizine is a descendent of the House of Golitsyn, and thus none that would state how he is related. Galizine is a possible alternative anglicization of Golitsyn, but that does not automatically mean he is related to the same Golitsyn family. BufferingBuffalo (talk) 06:36, 16 August 2023 (UTC)
- lots of web said that for example https://www.hollywoodancestry.com/post/purple-hearts-star-nicholas-galitzine-noble-ancestry
- and someone add reference-34 about Nicholas on House of Golitsyn#20th century iam (talk) 13:22, 22 August 2023 (UTC)
- Being a descendant of a noble family does not mean it still exists and these blog-style websites are not reliable for such claims. Where does "His Serene Highness Prince" come from? The Teen Vogue article (which I suppose might be considered usable) only notes that due to his surname, he is "a likely descendent" and this is all. Mellk (talk) 14:44, 22 August 2023 (UTC)
- Also yes, someone please remove these claims. Mellk (talk) 14:44, 22 August 2023 (UTC)
- @Mellk, agree with some concerns, Hollywood Ancestry seems to be a WP:SELFPUB with one person linked to the site. DankJae 19:35, 22 August 2023 (UTC)
- Thanks, it is an improvement. Mellk (talk) 22:19, 22 August 2023 (UTC)
- @Mellk, only removed and checked the most obvious violations (Wiki as ref) or questionable stuff (excessive detail), not guaranteed to do the rest and haven't done such yet, but we'll see. If sources do describe the link as "likely" (i.e. potentially), this article has to as well and not as fact. If there are overall issues with the claims, it may be safer to remove it all, so agree with your concerns. DankJae 00:42, 23 August 2023 (UTC)
- @Mellk, @Krimuk2.0, the Elle Australia source cites Hollywood Ancestry, is that indicative of credibility of HA? Or should the Elle source be removed for sections it cites with Hollywood Ancestry. DankJae 19:07, 23 August 2023 (UTC)
- The who.com.au source is also said to be unreliable by @Krimuk2.0, and has a possible typo, as it mentioned 5th century, while vogue says 15th, and the Grand Duchy of Lithuania and Kingdom of Lithuania existed post 13th century, so may have errors. DankJae 19:42, 23 August 2023 (UTC)
- If it's all conjecture, I'd suggest moving it to a footnote. Krimuk2.0 (talk) 07:22, 24 August 2023 (UTC)
- @Krimuk2.0, just removed the link, not overly essential. DankJae 10:09, 24 August 2023 (UTC)

Infobox royal house
[edit]The {{Infobox royal house}} template has been added by some editors (are they related?) to this biography on an actor. Is this template needed? It is already at House of Golitsyn the main topic on the Royal House, so I’d argue it shouldn’t be here and is unnecessary as the actor is not a royal house himself, just like at William, Prince of Wales where no “House of Windsor” template is. DankJae 18:25, 23 August 2023 (UTC)
- Sorry, I was away and just saw this. Yes, I think that was a good idea to remove. After all, this connection is not even confirmed. I think it would be also a good idea to remove the family from the infobox for the same reason, this is just based on speculation and the house does not really exist anymore. Mellk (talk) 16:40, 31 August 2023 (UTC)
- @Mellk, removed it from the standard infobox too, note I'd expect it will be re-inserted by others as I had removed it before. DankJae 14:30, 2 September 2023 (UTC)

Filmography not including Red, White & Royal Wedding
[edit]Right, there's an edit war where @FirstPrinceHenryAlex: (and their logged out accounts, @~2026-21613-4, 2600:1700:55f0:5c90:1c62:5dfc:8ea4:c233, and 82.26.162.24:) repeatedly inserts Red, White & Royal Wedding in Galitzine's filmography. Now, per WP:NFF, Per WP:CRYSTAL, "Individual scheduled or expected future events should be included only if the event is notable and almost certain to take place," and the start of principal photography is a near-certainty. Until then, information on the film might be included in articles about its subject material, if available.
This film is mentioned in the body; however, I have not put it in Galitzine's filmography section as it has yet to start filming, or if it has, there are no reliable sources covering it. I think this is pretty fair and it seems to be the standard for actors pages. Once it begins filming, it can be in the filmography section. Other films like The Return Of Stanley Atwell and Wings of Freedom also are not there for the same reason. However, this user keeps adding this back. I also would like to mention that they do not assume good faith and called me homophobic for not including it. jolielover♥talk 17:55, 18 January 2026 (UTC)

jolielover♥talk 17:57, 18 January 2026 (UTC)- You have been reported. FirstPrinceHenryAlex (talk) 18:55, 18 January 2026 (UTC)
- Royal wedding has been on Taylor Zakhar Perez's filmography for a year now. Other actors have films on their filmography that are in pre production. This has never been a policy. You are just making it up. And as stated here FirstPrinceHenryAlex (talk) 18:57, 18 January 2026 (UTC)
- WP:NFF
- WP: FILMPROJECT
- MOS:FILM
- All state if a movie is greenlit and has a start date for filming. Royal wedding does states the movie can be added to the filmography. FirstPrinceHenryAlex (talk) 19:11, 18 January 2026 (UTC)
- So just admitted to breaking the rules. Filming is a certainty and has start date. And it's currently filming. So you are just power tripping. FirstPrinceHenryAlex (talk) 20:28, 18 January 2026 (UTC)

- @Jolielover for some of the claims, such as his full name, can you find any other source besides YouTube? If not, that's fine - OpalYosutebito 『talk』 『articles I want to eat』 22:58, 3 June 2026 (UTC)
- I can find some sources, but I am concerned it's a case of circular reporting where it takes from Wikipedia, so if changes must be made, I'd be more comfortable removing it entirely rather than including sources potentially taking from Wikipedia. In my search when I was expanding this article, I recall I couldn't find many other sources with his name. Sources with the name are: Parade, Apple TV, Gold Derby, all of which seem to be published after Wikipedia's first inclusion of that name. jolielover♥talk 05:30, 8 June 2026 (UTC)

Overall:
Article is: new enough (promoted to GA same day as DYKN), very well long enough (9966 B), neutral, and has no apparent copyvio (EW is high at 70.4% due to a reverse copy; I saw no close-paraphrasing of LA times or Hollywood Reporter). As for the hooks, they are cited and present in the article. Both are approved but I prefer ALT1 as it seems much more interesting- it's pretty common for actors to do extreme diets during role prep, whereas his surname sparking an internet myth about him being Russian royalty is quite unique. The image is suitably licensed, in the article, and relatively clear (although personally I'd consider a slightly tighter crop as there's a fair bit of negative space). Both QPQs were done. All set. Reference Swapping With Foreign Language Wikis
[edit]I have seen some of the suspicious activity flagged as vandalism in this wiki's history. I've also seen several foreign language (Hungarian, Korean, etc) versions of this page where the information is based on English wiki, but incomplete. There's some evidence that there's a bad faith attempt to add a field similar to the "partner" field. I'm going to be frank, this could be a trick to insert a new page for someone who hasn't been deemed noteworthy enough for their own wiki page, just by association. There appears to be a history of importing this page to foreign wiki pages where the "partner" field is more easily accessed, and then potentially citing those pages here to justify the addition. I've already contacted the Volunteer Response Team about this via email a couple weeks ago. I'm declining to edit myself, and would rather just audit the process as seasoned editors track the information. Please let me know what you find and keep me updated. I hope to hear back about whether my hunch about the attempted reference swap is correct. Thank you. ~2026-53086-10 (talk) 13:30, 3 October 2026 (UTC)
