The festival is observed on the fourteenth day in the "second" half (waning moon) of the lunar month of "Magha" (not "Phalguna"). So, the text needs correction. 68.197.64.240 (talk) 01:32, 25 February 2025 (UTC)

Introductory Section

Reference Number 4 clearly mentions that the festival is in lunar "Magha" maasam. The lunar month begins one day after each Amaavaasya and the first fortnight of every month is in the waxing period of the moon and the second half is in the waning period.
