Labour Day in the UK

Labour Day is not celebrated in the UK, but they do have a public holiday on the first Monday in May. So they are the wrong color on the map. 82.8.133.177 (talk) 01:16, 2 May 2024 (UTC)

Labour day

Hi, thank you for commenting here instead of simply reverting again. Content can exist in multiple article so I don't think removing it solely for that reason is the best idea. These holidays are also known as "labour day". If they weren't, then I'd agree with the removal. Clovermoss🍀 (talk) 00:52, 2 October 2024 (UTC)

Austria: May 1st is "Staatsfeiertag" not labor day

labour day in new Zealand is on the 4th Monday in October there are no public holidays here in September

This isn't really that big of a deal, but the colours are slightly confusing... it seems to me that the colours would be better suited around the other way?

As I was writing that, I figured out what it was that was so confusing... What on earth is the use of "Labour Day falls or may fall on 1 May"? Either it does or it doesn't, surely?

What is the use of specifying 1 May on the graphic when none of the countries appear to use it as their date for the holiday? The red and grey ones are all presumably no's, the yellow is just about whether or not there's a public holiday and the greens are labelled as "not a holiday on may 1"

I really think the colours should be changed, and/or maybe the key JordyGrey _talk🧸 17:21, 20 April 2026 (UTC)

1st of May in Finland

Seems that in Finland the color on the map is incorrect as it can be considered as a labour's day as well but this is also another celebration such as spring day known as Vappu in Finnish and Valborg in Swedish. Worth maybe add a special section in the article and change the color to green as yellow can be misleading.
