Title name

The title is not “Kaseya Limited” and is actually Kaseya VSA ransomware attack. Can someone fix this? Theobegley2013 (talk) 18:47, 7 October 2023 (UTC)

Kaseya meaning

The claim that it means "protect and defend" in Sioux comes from a article that says that it "comes from the Sioux word for 'protect and defend'" which is not the same... additionally, I can't find another source that verifies this claim. Jwabeck (talk) 03:39, 22 December 2024 (UTC)

Sourcing issues

@SecuriDAD1992 Some of the sources in the article, including ones you added, seem low-quality or unreliable:

• "IT management and security in the modern age: Moving away from fragmentation towards seamless success" (ITPro) - this is labeled "Advertisement Feature", so it's not independent of the company.
• "What is the Brief History of Kaseya Company?" (Canvas Business Model) - the disclaimer at the bottom says that this is not necessarily accurate.
• Clay.com - this link doesn't work anymore, but also, this appears to be a content aggregator instead of a reliable secondary source
• The Channel Program awards don't seem to be recognized as meaningful awards. Any website can decide to hand out awards - unclear why these are worth citing.
• GetApp appears to be WP:UGC.
• The article on "The AI Journal" sounds like a press release, and I can't find any evidence that the website is a reliable source.

A lot of the other sources are articles published in pretty narrow trade publications: CRN, ChannelPro, ChannelE2E, eChannelNews, Channel Futures, the ChannelPro Network, MSSP Alert, MSP Success. A certain amount of that seems reasonable, but it's a lot in this article.

I'd encourage reviewing these sources and replacing them with stronger ones or trimming material that is only available in less-reliable sources. Dreamyshade (talk) 04:45, 19 March 2026 (UTC)

Hey @Dreamyshade, happy to keep working on the article and looking for additional, better sources. I've been using this table to determine whether the sources are reliable or not. The industry publications are, but understand your point on not relying solely on those. I will look for some additional sources and replace a couple that you mention above if I can.
