- Source: The hook is a compiled fact from multiple sources. For the 1959 performance in Amahl and the Night Visitors see this review: "Workshop's Amahl Stagings Applauded". LNP. December 6, 1959. p. 34. For the fact that the performance in that opera was his debut see: "Local Baritone Gives Concert. Darrenkamp Rates A-Plus". Lancaster New Era. February 5, 1968. p. 7.
