Jerry Lewis Spoke Japanese?

[edit]

Upon seeing a partial interview of Dean Martin he had a comment on how Martin had never had the ability to speak Japanese as Lewis had. Which brings up the question: Did Jerry Lewis actually speak Japanese, or was he only mimicking Japanese as most Americans always thought?

"His fame rose to prominence"?

[edit]

I've heard of people rising to prominence; I've heard of fame rising to new heights (etc.). But I've never heard this construct in nearly six decades of constant reading. Let's examine it logically. Surely all fame is prominent? How can somebody's fame "rise to prominence"? My suggestion is to change this to just "He rose to prominence", or "He rose to fame". Something like that. Just think about what you're writing. 2601:600:A400:91B0:6004:F10D:6236:BCDB (talk) 07:04, 31 July 2025 (UTC)Reply

1st marriage

[edit]

The article says his first wife filed for divorce in 1980, and the divorce was finalized in 1983. So regardless of filing, they were STILL married until 1983. Yet the sidebar says he was divorced in 1980, which according to the article isn't true. ~2026-21253-50 (talk) 22:55, 26 April 2026 (UTC)Reply
