• I agree with A. While B might be more representative of her off-screen style now, I think A has better recognizability. Per MOS:LEADIMAGE, the image should be natural and appropriate representations of the topic and give readers visual confirmation that they've arrived at the right page. Ortega is primarily known for her onscreen roles like Wednesday and Scream, not her offscreen persona, in which her eyebrows are not bleached. Given that eyebrows are quite important in facial recognition, I feel we should use an image with eyebrows to ensure readers best recognise Ortega and know they've arrived at the right page. • A - standard on WP is to use the most recent image emblematic of the general current appearance of a living individual; this applies (unless in extremely rare circumstances where there it is extremely severe [which is not the case of the above two images]) to cases where the newer/more accurate image is of lesser quality than an older one. Ortega's bleached eyebrow aesthetic had been pretty widely covered and depicted by RSes (and anecdotally, not that this matters as much, online and in my personal life) for the past year. So, I'm not supporting the arguments above wholly. HOWEVER. While doing research, I discovered that the eyebrows are apparently back as of March 2026, and judging from her IG, they're here to stay. You could argue that besides the eyebrows, here physical appearance in image B is closer to her current self, but a), honestly, she was already begining to look like that in 2024, and b), I frankly concur with Pamzeis (talk · contribs)'s claim that eyebrow recognizability is important enough to warrant just supporting image A. — Knightoftheswords 05:31, 20 April 2026 (UTC)

I unfortunately do not have a lot of experience at FA-related topics, although I have extensively reviewed/improved articles to GA. And this article is over 4000 words (unlike Ruby Rose Turner and Charlotte Jordan, which are both around 650 and Emily Flain at 450, all of which I improved to GA). Therefore, I only plan to do a mini preliminary-review from myself. I'm also here cause you have also improved young/child actresses to GA.

All ~240 sources are reliable, including the YouTube ones as they are published by reliable organisations. Seeing as Mckenna Grace is a 3700-word FA and is a few years younger than this one, I should see a chance that this could be an FA. I would also pass 1e (stable) since the article has not gone any major changes since 4 September. I may add more comments later. JuniperChill (talk) 15:50, 19 September 2026 (UTC)

• Her father, Edward Ortega,[4] is a former sheriff who works at a California district attorney's office of Mexican descent. Because of misplaced modifier placement, the phrase "of Mexican descent" attaches directly to "a California district attorney's office", which makes it sound as though the government office is of Mexican descent rather than the father.
• "That same year, Ortega appeared in the horror film Insidious: Chapter 2 as part of the supporting cast" - I would just say "Ortega played a supporting role in..."
• She considered quitting acting several times; she said that she "was too old for the young roles and too young for the older roles"[20] and that she thought she should withdraw from the career because she was starting high school and needed to "prove [her]self" to casting directors unfamiliar with her. The last part creates a subtle logical tension that makes it sound slightly contradictory. The phrasing makes it seem like she wanted to quit acting because she had to prove herself to new casting directors. Normally, needing to "prove oneself" is a reason to stay in a career and keep trying, whereas high school is a reason to step away. Combining them under the same "because" clause makes the logic feel slightly off.
• "She next featured in Trey Edward Shults's Hurry Up Tomorrow, co-starring with Abel Tesfaye and Barry Keoghan." Should it maybe say The Weeknd since the world knows him as that instead of his real name? Or was he credited as such in the film?
• "Critics panned the film, but Ortega's performance was praised." Two things. The part "Ortega's performance was praised" is unsourced (and you can't take two individual reviews to make a collective claim like that). The praise is followed by On the other hand, IndieWire's Charles Bramesco called her performance "imitative and hollow". which means that her performance in fact was not only praised.
• Ortega said her public image is inaccurate and that she can feel "incredibly misunderstood". Starting with her reaction to an "inaccurate" image creates a logical gap. The reader is forced to ask, "Inaccurate compared to what?" I would first establish the consensus image: How do the media, public, or critics generally describe her persona? And then introduce her statement that this perception is inaccurate or makes her feel misunderstood.
• I'm not a fan of the Acting credits and awards section, which currently only consists of the link to her filmography and awards page.
