This pages reads like it was written by a dyed in the wool DFLer. I see this in the exclusion of material that would be of interest to leftists in the city regarding things like his involvement in the roof depot, the rebuilding of the third precinct, and his continuous sweeps of the homeless population. I would invite deeper research and inclusion into these topics and others. SprinklerLover12 (talk) 23:46, 9 May 2025 (UTC)Reply
Wikipedia is not here to provide information you feel would be of interest to "leftists." Wikipedia is here to summarize what sources say about a topic. --CNMall41 (talk) 05:14, 4 June 2025 (UTC)Reply
There is an inaccuracy in the Jacob Frey article. You wrote, "Frey is the first mayor to serve under the so called "Strong Mayor" system, a power reorganization that changed the city council from a governing body to a legislative body and gave the mayor direct control over 11 city departments, including the police department, that was approved by ballot measure in 2021." The mayor's office already had direct control over the police department when this initiative was voted on. It even states this in the KARE 11 article you referenced: "One thing that won't change: the status of Minneapolis Police. The police department, as an exception, was previously beholden to the mayor's office and will continue to operate that way under the new system of governance." Simply removing "including the police department" from that sentence will make it accurate. Thank you. 75.146.163.137 (talk) 15:15, 14 August 2025 (UTC)Reply
I, and a number of other people I'm sure, was unaware of that tid bit. It seems worth of inclusion to me. Perhaps we write a little sentence that talks about the degree of I'm control the mayor has over the police and place it after that sentence after we take out second half of the sentence? Im doing further research and trying to find more details on his history with community organizing and I'm not finding anything other than the claim that he was one. If I can't find more, I'm questioning whether this is verifiable enough for inclusion. SprinklerLover12 (talk) 02:17, 8 June 2025 (UTC)Reply

Frey made statements concerning prayers by members of a religion he does not belong to that raise some questions about his commitment to thd first amendment. The attack and Frey's responses to it need to be here 105.129.199.243 (talk) 22:58, 29 August 2025 (UTC)Reply

thia statement is not accurate nor is it supported by its citation: "Mr Frey has attempted to reposition himself as a socialist, including supporting criminal activity that is in support of an anarchist agenda".[6] ~2026-19693-5 (talk) 13:19, 10 January 2026 (UTC)Reply
