Ibn Baz has never claimed to be a "Wahhabi" nor is it an actual school of thought. Ibn Baz as well as his students and teachers ascribe to the Salafi movement and to the Athari creed. IsmaelGh97 (talk) 21:31, 13 December 2024 (UTC)

Generalizations in the article

The article makes a generalized claim based on a book. The generalization is made against all senior Saudi clerics. Surely no such generalizations about any group of people can be made.

I made an edit to clarify this claim, referring to the book where the claim was made and changing from all to some to reflect the natural of the world that sweeping generalization can be correctly made. Unfortunately, my edit was immediately reverted with no explanation. DeCausa, if you read this, can you please provide an explanation for the edit revert?

The statement is cited with an inline citatation to a reliable source. It's not necessary to say in running text "Source X says...". That's the point of inline citations - it makes that unnecessary. See WP:Inline citation. If every time a statement is made we say "Source X says..." articles would become unreadable. DeCausa (talk) 23:02, 19 January 2026 (UTC)
