Many, but not all, non-binary people go by singular they pronouns, which are acceptable for use in articles. This applies in references to any phase of that person's life, unless the subject has indicated a preference otherwise. Notability
[edit]Ian’s notable. Citations in article give specific technical matters (e.g., kubernetes attacks and security patches) that pretty solidly establish this.
If you compare the related article for Kelsey Hightower, a similar level of detail showing notability as a public figure associated with Kubernetes who gets mentioned in textbooks and articles establishes notability easily.
As a complete random and non-wikipedian, I would recommend strongly against deleting this article. I would look skeptically on arguments for deletion, because Ian is controversial, and likely to attract such arguments in bad faith.

Unsourced, not covered, categories
[edit]I removed some categories not covered or sourced in the body of the article. It also looks like the subject identifies as "they"? which is also not sourced. Can citations be added to cover these issues? Thank you, Malerooster (talk) 15:25, 22 July 2023 (UTC)
