TL / TR
[edit]The linked PDF indicates that there are two variants in the standard; Type 1 is a transliteration (TL) and Type 2 is a transcription (TR). TL provides no special treatment except that a possible diacritic mark is moved from upsilon to the vowel in αυ, ευ and ηυ. TR from Annex B, which is almost identical to UN ELOT 743, on the other hand doesn’t feature the macrons for eta and omega, which are allowed to follow the letter in TL in technically restricted environments. The standard seems also to provide treatment for diacritial and punctuation marks, for the archaic letter digamma (w) and two more (j, s) – the latter, looking like a romman c, is just a presentational variant of sigma as fas as I know.
