Note: I have a COI with Hack Club

The Hack Club#Events section is becoming the old, now removed "Programs" section again, being rather promo due to its inclusion of peacock/puffery words ("awesome prizes"), some other non-encyclopedic tone (second person in #High Seas), and only citing the Hack Club website (not reliable, we need WP:RS; see WP:V).

Once again, I am part of Hack Club (so I shouldn't edit directly) so just leaving this here. —2NumForIce (^speak|_edits) 17:25, 15 August 2025 (UTC) (again, COI)

Add Christina Asquith as cofounder

The infobox currently lists only Zach Latta and Jonathan Leung as founders. A recent & independent source also identifies Christina Asquith as a co-founder:

 with artificial intelligence" — refers to her in the reporter's own

Note on timeline: sourcing indicates Asquith joined in 2018, four years after the 2014 founding, and was later given the co-founder title/role rather than being present at the original founding. I'd suggest the body text reflect that distinction rather than imply she was present in 2014.

Proposed changes:

1. Infobox — add a "Co-founder" field:

  | founders = Zach Latta, Jonathan Leung
  | co-founder = Christina Asquith

2. Body text, in the founding/history section:

  "Christina Asquith joined Hack Club in 2018 as a board member and 
  later became co-founder and COO."

Add Christina Asquith as cofounder

Note: This follows up on an earlier request I posted in the section above (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Hack_Club#c-Randomdude123459-20260826223800-Add_Christina_Asquith_as_cofounder). I'm reopening this with the proper disclosure and additional sourcing, per the suggestion I received to use {{Edit COI}}.

Disclosure: I'm a contractor of Hack Club and work with their founding team.

Requested change: Add Christina Asquith as a co-founder of Hack Club. The infobox currently lists only Zach Latta and Jonathan Leung as founders.

Sourcing: Two independent local news outlets identify her as co-founder in their own editorial voice (not quoting a press release or self-description):

• NBC5/WPTZ (Aug. 1, 2026), "Burlington's Hack Club inspires teens to build with artificial intelligence" — refers to her as "Hack Club co-founder Christina Asquith." (Previously cited in my original request above: https://www.mynbc5.com/article/nbc5-in-depth-burlingtons-hack-club-inspires-teens-to-build-with-artificial-intelligence/73375621.)

• WCAX (Sept. 1, 2026), "AI in the classroom: Vermont teachers navigate the do's and don'ts" — refers to her as "Co-founder Christina Asquith." (New source, added here: https://www.wcax.com/2026/09/01/ai-classroom-vermont-teachers-navigate-dos-donts/.)

Proposed edits:

1. Infobox: add a separate "Co-founder" field (distinct from "Founders") listing Christina Asquith.

2. Body text: add a sentence noting she later became co-founder, to avoid implying she was present at the 2014 founding by Latta and Leung.

•  Not done While Asquith's title is apparently "Co-founder and President" of Hack Club, she's not the co-founder in any usual sense of the word – according to her own homepage she has been co-founder "since 2020" despite the fact that the organisation was founded in 2014! Given this, I think we need much stronger sourcing to describe her as co-founder in the infobox – she is already listed as one of the board of directors.
