Calling Code

[edit]

The calling code is just +1. The next three numbers are an area code. The articles for the US and Canada simply list their calling code as +1 and do not proceed to list every single area code in the country. We shouldn't treat this country any differently just because they only have one area code. 2601:249:1A80:22E0:95A5:38B9:1DB7:FCD1 (talk) 20:30, 12 June 2025 (UTC)Reply

Phonetic transcription of Guåhan

[edit]

The IPA transcription listed next to the Chamorro name of the island seems to make no difference between the a-vowel and å-vowel in the name. This is inconsistent with the orthography as described on the page for the Chamorro language, which seems to suggest an error, but I'm by no means familiar enough with the langauge to make a correction with confidence in either the pronunciation or spelling of the island's indigenous name. ~2026-13583-52 (talk) 14:36, 2 March 2026 (UTC)Reply

Reference 10 leads to a dead article.

[edit]

Reference 10, UOG Poll: Guamanians Prefer Statehood, leads to a 404 page. ~2026-26073-40 (talk) 16:53, 29 April 2026 (UTC)Reply

KUAM looks like they updated their website and didn't redirect things. I've put the new URL in the reference.—Carter (Tcr25) (talk) 17:04, 29 April 2026 (UTC)Reply

AI tag

[edit]

Concerns have been raised about AI-generated content in part of this article. This is a procedural talk page section to discuss it. There is no need to ping me in response. Rationale: this 2025 rewrite of parts; note WP:AISIGNS in undue emphasis on significance, promotional tone, vocab distro typical of 2024–25 LLM text etc Gnomingstuff (talk) 19:01, 12 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
