Change: "George Timothy Clooney (born May 6, 1961) is an American and French actor and filmmaker."

To: "George Timothy Clooney (born May 6, 1961) is an American actor, filmmaker, and humanitarian. He was born in Lexington, Kentucky, to television host Nick Clooney and beauty queen and city councilwoman Nina Bruce Warren, and is of Irish, German, and English ancestry."

Rationale: Clooney is not French by nationality or ancestry. Reliable biographical sources identify him as American, with Irish, German, and English heritage through his parents. The current wording incorrectly lists him as French. ~2026-44459-3 (talk) 02:30, 21 January 2026 (UTC)Reply

Not done for now: please establish a consensus for this alteration before posting an edit request. As stated above, American and French is the correct form per MOS:NATIONALITY, based on dual-citizenship, but whether or not this is relevant for inclusion in the lead needs consensus. - Umby 🌕🐶 (talk) 03:37, 21 January 2026 (UTC)Reply

George Clooney has obtained French citizenship. Please change the line from 'American Acto' to French/American traitor. ~2026-15677-69 (talk) 17:04, 11 March 2026 (UTC)Reply

Not done, as that's not it's commonly understood. A note can be added later (and may already be; I haven't checked), but doesn't need to be in the lead. Deacon Vorbis (carbon  videos) 14:04, 8 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
