Misrepresenting quote

Apologies if this is out of line or done to death already, but the presentation of this quote is misleading:

"Soon after his mother's death, Gein began to create a "woman suit" so that "he could become his mother—to literally crawl into her skin."[27]"

The woman suit is factual, as mentioned in the talk topic Sensationalism. The reasoning is speculation from the article. This very well could have been his reasoning but this quote & citation pairing is far from strong enough, I believe, to warrant the factual presentation the article currently has.

I unfortunately do not have the time to go into depth in the tone style guides and rework this however, it just struck me as rather definitive for something that could only be 1) connected to a reported admission from the man in question or 2) speculation ~2025-32620-41 (talk) 22:29, 10 November 2025 (UTC)

Frank Worden inconsistencies?

Was Frank Worden a deputy sheriff [crimes> confirmed], or a fire chief [aftermath> fate of Gein's property]? ~2025-41193-37 (talk) 04:12, 18 December 2025 (UTC)

Frank Worden was a deputy sheriff during the discovery of his Mom's body at Gein's farm 16 Nov 1957.

He was Fire Chief for the town of Plainfield during the burning of the Gein farmhouse 20 Mar 1958. --Naaman Brown (talk) 05:31, 27 December 2025 (UTC)

Judge Robert H. Gollmar was presiding judge in the Ed Gein case. In his book on the case, "Edward Gein" Pinnacle Books (1981), Introduction p.xxi: "Frank Worden, the deputy sheriff in Plainfield, was closely and personally involved, for it was his mother, Bernice, whose disappearance triggered the uncovering of the Gein story." Evidence of the murder of Bernice Worden was discovered 16 & 17 Nov 1957 when the county sheriff office had 3 full time employees and Worden at that time was on call as a part time deputy. The Gein house fire was 27 Mar 1958. In a small county with a small budget people often wore many hats and Frank Worden was firechief. ----Naaman Brown (talk) 00:45, 8 June 2026 (UTC)

It is incorrect how and when Henry Gein had passed. Correction: Henry died in 1944 during a brush fire under suspicious circumstances where foul play was suspected but never officially proven or confessed ~2026-20983-57 (talk) 17:28, 5 April 2026 (UTC)
