Editors who violate any listed restrictions may be blocked by any uninvolved administrator, even on a first offense.

With respect to any reverting restrictions:

Edits made solely to enforce any clearly established consensus are exempt from all edit-warring restrictions. In order to be considered "clearly established" the consensus must be proven by prior talk-page discussion.
Edits made which remove or otherwise change any material placed by clearly established consensus, without first obtaining consensus to do so, may be treated in the same manner as clear vandalism.
Clear vandalism of any origin may be reverted without restriction.
Reverts of edits made by anonymous (IP) editors that are not vandalism are exempt from the 1RR but are subject to the usual rules on edit warring. If you are in doubt, contact an administrator for assistance.

Other projects like Dogecoin (DOGE), GridCoin (GRC), and PotCoin (POT) do have one, however. Most of the top ten projects, including Bitcoin Cash (BCH), have one too.

Proposed expansion of “Smart contracts” section

Hey. The current “Smart contracts” section is very brief and contains a statement marked with a citation-needed tag. I suggest replacing it with a chronological overview of the different attempts to add smart contract functionality around Dogecoin:

Dogecoin’s base blockchain does not natively support general-purpose smart contracts. Third-party projects have developed different approaches to adding application and token functionality around the network. In 2022, Dogechain launched as a separate blockchain built using Polygon Edge, allowing users to bridge DOGE into wrapped DOGE and use it with decentralized applications and Ethereum-compatible smart contracts. Dogechain is not an official Dogecoin project. In 2023, the DRC-20 standard enabled inscription-based tokens to be created on the Dogecoin blockchain and coincided with a record increase in daily transactions. DogeOS was introduced in 2025 as an application-development layer for games, financial applications and artificial-intelligence tools connected to Dogecoin. Its developers also submitted a proposal to Dogecoin Core to support native verification of zero-knowledge proofs.
