MCU

[edit]

I think Strange should have his own page; he does play a big role in Doctor Strange (2016), Thor: Ragnarok (2017), Avengers: Infinity War (2018), and Avengers: Endgame (2019). MrCoolGuy159 (talk) 11:27, 8 November 2019 (UTC)Reply

@MrCoolGuy159: the redirect at the link you proposed splitting to has a "Redirect with possibilities" section pointing to a draft at Draft:Stephen Strange (Marvel Cinematic Universe). Feel free to contribute there until someone feels it meets the WP:GNG criteria to move to the main article space. We just need to make sure that the references are discussing the movie character himself, and not the movies he is in or their plots. The Film section can be updated to link to the main article once that happens. -2pou (talk) 18:27, 8 November 2019 (UTC)Reply
Indeed—trickier than people realize, isn't it? What a challenge it is to document a character without duplicating a bunch of detail in story-specific articles (which you often see anyway). Indeed, where do any of us end as people, and begin with the events of our lives? Well, I'd better go before someone feels compelled to create a WP article about my philosophical utterances (LOL). – AndyFielding (talk) 09:06, 30 July 2022 (UTC)Reply

Is the Genre Urban Fantasy?

[edit]

Not sure if this has been chatted about before, but in terms of Genre, would you classify Doctor Strange as urban fantasy ? I'd be interested to hear what people think. Deathlibrarian (talk) 08:12, 20 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

Publication history: proposal for reorganization

[edit]

I've added a link to Doctor Strange (comic book). There one should find a list of collected editions (among other things). I suggested cleaning up that page and renaming it to List of Doctor Strange titles, following the pattern used with, e.g., List of Iron Man titles. Dr. Strange in Music

[edit]

The article mentions the Pink Floyd album that features the character. There are also two early Al Stewart (Scottish musician) that feature Dr Strange; Past, Present and Future, and Modern Times. 2601:5CC:C580:F1B0:1991:5551:1608:DA07 (talk) 23:47, 6 July 2022 (UTC)Reply

Creation of Dr. Strange

[edit]

Stan Lee is given credit and top billing for the creation of the character in the sidebar, even as the text of this article quotes Lee as giving Ditko sole credit for bringing the character to Marvel fully formed. There has been mild edit warring, and I feel a call should be made. -13Kenzie13 (talk) 07:35, 27 July 2022 (UTC)Reply
