A general question on whether or not all versions of the dialectic have been covered by this article?
Am I mistaken in assuming that, as a child, I already knew about another version of the dialectic in which the practitioner posed the question to himself, "what prior thought preceded his current thought", and then asked in a sustained, and continuing sequential series what other thought preceded the previous thought, and followed this line of backwards reasoning to ultimately arrive at the original source of -- not only this particular line of reasoning, but also -- the Ultimate Source of *all reasoning*; hence, the source of all thoughts and of our rational mind....a transcendence of our material, temporal existence?
