GA review – see WP:WIAGA for criteria

  1. Is it well written?
    A. The prose is clear, concise and understandable to an appropriately broad audience, and the spelling and grammar are correct:
    See read-though below
    B. It complies with the manual of style guidelines for lead sections, layout, words to watch, fiction, and list incorporation:
    All guidelines above are followed
  2. Is it verifiable with no original research, as shown by a source spot-check?
    A. It contains a list of all references (sources of information), presented in accordance with the layout style guideline:
These links are down and need to be archived:
    B. Reliable sources are cited inline. All content that could reasonably be challenged, except for plot summaries and that which summarizes cited content elsewhere in the article, must be cited no later than the end of the paragraph (or line if the content is not in prose):
Claims are backed up by a source
    C. It contains no original research:
    Spot check here
There is only one issue present, and it's a downed link.
    D. It contains no copyright violations nor plagiarism:
Earwig's highest percentage was 9.9%. No copyvio here.
  3. Is it broad in its coverage?
    A. It addresses the main aspects of the topic:
    B. It stays focused on the topic without going into unnecessary detail (see summary style):
Article covers main aspects of the pandas without going into unnecessary detail.
  4. Is it neutral?
It represents viewpoints fairly and without editorial bias, giving due weight to each:
    The article is neutral
  5. Is it stable?
It does not change significantly from day to day because of an ongoing edit war or content dispute:
    No edit wars present
  6. Is it illustrated, if possible, by images?
    A. Images are tagged with their copyright status, and valid non-free use rationales are provided for non-free content:
    B. Images are relevant to the topic, and have suitable captions:
Images have valid rationales and captions, but how do you know these are the correct pandas? I know Lin Ping's is correct, but the descriptions of Chuang Chuang's and Lin Hui's commons files don't mention their names. Images were replaced
this image was confirmed to be Chuang Chuang by the photographer, and this image was confirmed to be Lin Hui.
  7. Overall:
    Pass or Fail:
There are still some issues that need to be addressed. If there is no update or progress within a week, I will fail the article. Dragonhawk12 (talk) (Guestbook) (Wikicats) 02:05, 8 August 2026 (UTC)Reply
@Dragonhawk12 I added some sources that are hopefully not dead - OpalYosutebitotalk』 『articles I want to eat15:53, 8 August 2026 (UTC)Reply
The sources look good now. All that needs to be fixed is the prose. Good work! Dragonhawk12 (talk) (Guestbook) (Wikicats) 23:28, 8 August 2026 (UTC)Reply

Read-through

[edit]

This is the readthrough for the article. There are only a few issues I found.

[edit]
  • "Bai Xue and Xin Xing" and "Tang Tang and Pan Pan" should be alphabetized by last names in their respective sentences.

Death

[edit]
  • "Chuang Chuang died at age 19 on 16 September 2019... I'm concerned that "19" and "16" being so close together can get confusing. It should be changed to something like "Chuang Chuang died at 19 years old on 16 September 2019..." Same for "Lin Hui died at age 21 on 19 April 2023..."
  • Bamboo is wikilinked in this section when it isn't wikilinked in the "Life" section. This instance of bamboo should be unlinked and the instance of bamboo in the "Life" section should.
