Pronunciation

I don't speak Portuguese, but I've done Capoeira for years with people who do. Most of them tap the "r" in the word so it sounds like a "d". It's usually a sign that someone doesn't know their stuff when they say "cap-O-WHERE-ruh instead of Cap-uh-WEY-duh. It seems to me like the phonetics on this page are wrong, but again, not a speaker of Portuguese, so I wanted to ask here of someone who does and also understand those phonetics. Thanks.
