Microsoft's acquisition of DesktopStandard

[edit]

DesktopStandard Transition and Support page at M$ Technet says that M$ acquired DesktopStandard in 2006. Is that the same DesktopStandard as the one mentioned in this article? If yes, how could Symark acquire it in 2009?

DesktopStandard article redirects to Group Policy. If both aforementioned firms are the same thing, it should probably be redirected here. Vano 05:59, 5 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

I don't know this 'M$' you speak of. Did you mean Microsoft? And yes, you're right: if they are the same company, it should be redirected here. --DanielPharos (talk) 10:07, 22 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

Article requires updating

[edit]

Looking into things, it appears that the current BeyondTrust is not the former Symark, but the former Bomgar. Bomgar purchased BeyondTrust and changed its corporate name. The article (including the infobox) needs to reflect this, just as AT&T refers to the current company, not the historic one whose name it took. I don't think any of the companies that Bomgar purchased to form the current BeyondTrust are noteworthy enough for their own articles, but it is clear that this one is not reflecting reality.128.151.71.11 (talk) 15:16, 18 June 2020 (UTC)Reply
