Article Improvement

[edit]

The way this article is written, it looks like the label is completely non-notable and should be deleted. However, you get this link with only 5 sentences... and... it really sounds like this label was created by a fan to release Nosferatu D2's album, and... that's a really interesting story. But I'm not sure Nosferatu is notable, I'm not sure this label is notable, but that's an interesting story, and much better to read about.

I can see on a skim, there are probably some other interviews and information about the label itself. What this article should not be is a random list of albums and acts written out in sentence form, which is what is is now.

Keep in mind for notability WP:Routine, albums reviews and such can veer toward that in the eyes of editors, as they aren't in depth, secondary coverage. We tend to use those to confirm facts on the page, so you do see them, but they generally aren't used to show notability.

The problem is this article is stuffed with so many random facts and sources that we aren't getting "two in depth sources about the material" - which is usually where we start for notability. I'd love to see some of the best sources brought here to the talk page to build an article around, with other sources brought in for extra detail.

I'm going to point to the article Kisaki - he's a musician who has run two record labels, thoroughly involved in local and national independent music in Japan. We don't have articles for all his labels, he's such a celebrity that it makes sense to use him as the "main" article. But - if you search "Under Code Production" - it goes to that page.

As I look through Audio Antihero's articles - there may be a similar solution we can use here, to find the "notable" person, story, event, band, or company, and redirect things that aren't notable on their own here. Denaar (talk) 17:41, 12 September 2025 (UTC)Reply
