Q: Surely this article is wrong? You are talking about Allah, but Allah is only in Islam, not other religions like Sikhism and Christianity.
A: "Allah" (which this article is about) is a word; specifically, the Arabic word for the same concept as the English word "God", with a capital G: the single God of a monotheistic religion. You are probably looking for the article God in Islam, which discusses the specific concept of God in the context of Islam.
Q: Surely this article is wrong? Allah is not the same as the Christian God.
A: This article is about the word "Allah", and its use in Arabic and other languages. Please take your religious disputes elsewhere.

It states in the article that the name Allah (word for The God) , is used principally outside of the middle east in Islam.
I would like to have it changed to 'in the middle east, the word Allah is principally used in Islam but it is also used by white European and American Muslims too.'
As of July 19, 2025, there are approximately 2.04 billion Muslims and 15.8 million Jews worldwide. Muslims constitute about 25% of the world's population, while Jews represent a much smaller fraction, around 0.2%.
How can you possibly say that it is outside of the middle east where Allah is used in Islam when islam came from Saudia arabia and medina and it is THE MOST principally used in Islam INSIDE of the middle east. Correct the edit and please stop being dogmatic. Mowilly88 (talk) 20:27, 19 July 2025 (UTC)Reply
It's a clarification and addition of nuance, that's supported by the sources given, (and even if no source was given, is self-evident...it hardly requires a source to understand Muslims exist outside of the middle east). I'm frankly more curious A) why this needs sources (your first question), and b) why it's NOT an improvement (your second)?66.196.238.186 (talk) 18:50, 30 July 2025 (UTC)Reply

I've created a gallery at the end of the article with the section for national flags moved into it as a sub-heading, with two other images from other spots in the article added to it. This edit was primarily driven by the fact that all the other sections in the article somehow deal with the linguistic aspects of the word "Allah", making it appropriate to move the one for national flags to the end, and that the images and templates for some sections occupy some space in the sections that follow (although this issue is still present with the images for the subsection on the Malaysian and Indonesian languages). To solve the latter issue, I've tried adjusting the sizes of the images, but that hasn't helped much. I hope future efforts will resolve this problem to a satisfying degree, if the edit doesn't get reverted. MbShm (talk) 16:41, 9 August 2025 (UTC)Reply
I've removed one of the images in the Malaysian and Indonesian languages subsection. It appears to have been moved or deleted. The second issue is largely solved now, I believe. MbShm (talk) 07:48, 10 August 2025 (UTC)Reply

These translations are translations that do not adhere to the original text at all; should a literal translation of the original text be given here, or should interpretative translations of the text, sometimes deviating from the original be included, dependent to the given reference? A lot of Gods that also have their wiki-pages have no "(mythological being)" attribution. As for the Jesus and other same pages, they shoudl have (mythological being) next to them IpsyhhhhI (talk) 18:36, 17 January 2026 (UTC)Reply

"In Islamic usage and indoctrination, Allah is God's most unique, proper name" I don't see that "indoctrination" is an accurate nor clear word here, I think to would be better to use "theology" so "In Islamic theology and general usage, Allah is God's most unique, proper name", this would be a better more accurate description. ~2026-95209-6 (talk) 20:37, 12 February 2026 (UTC)Reply
