The result of the move request was: article moved — consensus to abide by naming conventions. Redirect Husain ibn Ahmed created. Favonian (talk) 08:44, 3 July 2011 (UTC)
Rabi Abdullah(Husain ibn Ahmed) → Rabi Abdullah – Restore to sensible title per WP:NAME. It is not standard practice to name a page after someone's common name and their real name. Husain ibn Ahmed should be added as a redirect. Tassedethe (talk) 05:32, 26 June 2011 (UTC)
- Support. Agree completely with nom. To whomever closes this, please create the redirect that is suggested in the nomination. Jenks24 (talk) 15:55, 26 June 2011 (UTC)

Move
[edit]Given that every related page and incoming link seems to think this guy was named some variation of al-Hussein, there's no apparent reason that we're parking it at a variation of Abdullah, which was the guy's grandfather. If this is somehow his most common name in general English scholarship, that should be explained, sourced, and added to the lead of the article. — LlywelynII 07:53, 17 July 2026 (UTC)
